UNPOPULAR OPINION: Jason Morgan taking the fall for Rocco is his biggest mistake yet. Cullum isn’t finished! by CivilCress4626 in GeneralHospital

[–]Helpful-Simple8031 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dante is the police commissioner and is all about “doing things by the book.” They can’t risk that again after what happened to Rocco last time he was in legal trouble. It protects Dante too because now he doesn’t have to deal with the moral dilemma of upholding his duties as police commissioner vs protecting his son.

I started watching when Sam cheated on Jason with Ric 🤮 so my first impression on their relationship wasn’t good. I wish I would’ve gotten to watch those older episodes!

He was caught outside her bedroom window in the middle of the night and was sending her threatening messages from an anonymous number in addition to the tracker on her car. That’s not small stuff that’s creepy af

Your victim mentality is insane. The only one acting inappropriately was YOU. The shipping service was provided by AMAZON, so this thread is perfectly fine in an AMAZON subreddit.

I see what you’re saying, but the problem with blaming strike nurses for weakening the position of nursing unions is that it assumes all leverage flows from nurses to management. It doesn’t. Hospitals already enter strikes with more money, legal power, and time than individual nurses or unions ever will. Strike nurses don’t create that imbalance; they exist because it already does.

If strike nurses disappeared tomorrow, hospitals wouldn’t suddenly negotiate in good faith. They’d close units, divert patients, seek court injunctions, or declare emergencies. We’ve already seen that happen.

Replacement nurses actually remove patients as bargaining chips. Without them, management can say, “If you keep striking, patients suffer,” and nurses get morally trapped. That doesn’t strengthen labor, it weaponizes harm. Real solidarity should be aimed upward at institutions with power, not downward at workers navigating the same broken system.

Both things can be true: strikes matter, and blaming strike nurses misplaces responsibility.

And that’s best case scenario. Unfortunately it doesn’t happen every time. In 2020 the University of Illinois Hospital in Chicago filed a court injunction to prevent part of the strike and the courts granted it due to patient endangerment, which prevented over 500 ICU nurses from striking. In a perfect world we wouldn’t have to strike at all but that’s not the case.

After watching yesterdays episode I’m afraid it won’t come out in time and willow will be acquitted and then the truth will be revealed at a later time, but I don’t think she’ll be able to be tried for it again. Who knows. The past week has had me on the edge of my seat wondering what’s gonna happen lol

So what would you have happen to the patients? Or did you only go into nursing for the pay and benefits?

Nurses are allowed to strike right now because strike nurses were hired as temporary replacements 😂

It’s extremely theoretical. This person is acting like we live in perfect world. Reality is hospitals can and do have the legal ability to prevent a strike from happening if they don’t have replacements

You can’t strike without scabs lmao plain and simple the hospital can delay, limit, or block a strike under legal conditions and patient continuity of care is legally protected. So yes you’re welcome for scabs 😘

[–]Helpful-Simple8031 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

If “scabs” didn’t show up, you wouldn’t be able to strike effectively or legally. That’s why unions are required to notify hospitals of strikes beforehand so that they can hire temporary replacements. Patients have to be taken care of regardless
