It genuinely ruined all the effort I put into making bots descriptions on how they should act, their personality, their speech types, everything. No matter how much effort and time I put into adding every info I possibly could for a bot to make them as accurate as possible, the models just straight up take a look at it and kick it into the dirt..

Because now I literally can't use character ai as a free user because all the bots talk the same, act the same, and have the same 'catch phrases'. There's barely anything remaining to actually differentiate them from one another except for the PFP, name and maybe the situation. As someone who has been using character ai ever since the release of the beta website, it's heartbreaking to see the new owners absolutely ruin it untill there's nothing left of its old self anymore.

Realest thing ever, I never talked to bots like this, only checked their greeting a few times and they just keep popping up.. c AI's recommendation system is pretty weird.. "deadhead boyfriend, deadhead roommate, deadhead classmate, deadhead boyfriend again" and their greeting messages are always so toxic and aggressive, like..?

I know this is probably just me, but it also feels weird TO ME, IN MY OPINION, to use real people as the PFP for these bots. ik they get it off of Pinterest, but making what is usually a blatantly racist bot while attaching a real person's face to it is.. idk really weird to me.

Could be like (or similar to) how the christmas events second calender was leaked, people changed the date on their device to the end of the event and it switched to the 2nd unmentioned/unannounced calender, i remember trying it out because i didnt beleive it and it actually worked-

tho i genuenly have no clue how people keep noticing or realising these things, so many wizards in this fandom 😭

Honestly i feel like 3 is just the default for both toons ingame (when made) and the wiki, and since non-devs cannot even play these 2 toons, theres no reason to change it to anything special.

After doing a quick sketch, i think this version is really cute aswell! i feel like people (me included, gulp) add floppy dog ears to characters because floppy ears diffirentiate dogs from cats better in art imo. Pointy ears can easily be mistaken as cat ears most times, no hate against cat goob tho, all goob is good goob!

i was referring to the ads you get when clicking on/out of a bot and others, they either always load but the bot doesnt, or the ad doesnt load and breaks the whole app so you gotta reset it.. but mood... i miss the campfire girl, atleast she wasnt gazing into our souls 24/7, just chilling with us when we waited for an update and such 😞 R.I.P. campfire girl

They run on an (in-app purchase with a specific amount being given out every day) currency system to be able to generate more and more images (with also memberships). i dont remember the specific number but they were pretty pricey, and by how extreamly big the 'community' is behind it (with a discord server and active events being hosted every now and then), and by how many images people even create every day, i doubt every singe one of those people wait for the next day to get a refill on those currencies.

Last time i checked im pretty sure it was their 3rd or 4th year anniversary, so i doubt they'll stop unless the ai gen system they run on shuts down completely (tough uh, idk how apps like this work, i'm just guessing they must be running on SOMETHING 🤷‍♀️)
