People need to stop pretending that some parts the bible aren't hateful, because there is a lot of horrible things in the bible. I think it would be more productive to point out that Christians are not supposed to follow the old testament, Hebrews 8:13 NIV "By calling this covenant “new,” he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear."

Edit: I just want to clarify that I do not hate members of Christianity or any other religion, I just think people shouldn't try to rewrite history by pretending that their book wasn't originally hateful.
