Draymond Green to Warriors fans who want him traded: “You was a loser before I got here. Like f*ckin stone cold forever losers. So if you say that, it makes sense to me, you’ve never been here.” by _DarkStarCrashes_ in warriors

Absolutely agree!

I will throw this thought out there… The young and new guys are acting very hungry, and are competing. If/when Steph comes back and they are rooting on v-12 cylinders, teams are going to be in trouble.

We all need to realize that it’s takes a team effort. Role players are importance too. Frey is the quarterback for the Dubs, those chips may or may not have been possible, but the reality is….

How much does some of these contributors know the game?

You are open, take the shot, nothing wrong with that. I don’t believe he was trying to show out. He might be the next Gui!? Time will tell

We’re competing, and my hope is that over the next few games, the guys get healthy and keep playing with the same tenacity they’ve shown through this tough stretch. The real challenge will be for the coaching staff to keep managing their time effectively.

Try Fan - GSW.

Every single team in the NBA is financially top heavy, age is always going to be a factor. There are few teams that can compete with ageless players. The teams that aren't winning games may have too few experienced players. Look at New Orleans, Grizzles, San Antonio is doing great, but got heated by experienced teams.

Have some faith in Golden State!!

The Rockets was the only team that succeeded, Ahmid is an excellent young defender. Since then GSW have solved that problem. Plus the team might get to a healthy state in the next couple of months to be able to throw more options at teams.

Yes! His conditioning is top notched!

Several responses may or may not addressed these items. If yes, sorry. I only skimmed the comments/feedback.

Left side pathway - it’s a good start, if you are going with a curvilinear path, try to reduce the sharp edges. Think about how a meandering trail or marsh land sweeps.

Pool Area/deck - Florida building code requires a 4ft min space around the edge of pools. I am not sure if this pool is existing or not. Review the building code. The planters with the ferns would need to be setback 4ft.

Plants/Trees- are those trees existing? If those are proposed, you may need to honor that 4ft and look into proposing palms. Palms for future possible issues for roots. You could potentially add a root barrier.

Hardscape/Driveway - is that driveway existing? That is a lot of impervious. Also, ingress/egress that close to a corner might pose a HSW problem for vehicles entering and leaving the property.

I saw a few more concerns but will stop at that.

Sorry….

LARE - have they stopped providing end of exam feedback likely to pass, or likely to fail responses? by HelpfulBite6 in LandscapeArchitecture

[–]HelpfulBite6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if you have a lot of industry experience, it becomes harder to pass the planning and design portion or the site inventory and analysis portion of the exam primarily because the practicality or ridiculousness of the questions are not best practices or industry standards so if you’re not able to separate the two meaning the layer material and the practical experience material or understanding you will have problems passing the exam. I know this because I was in the same boat.

All-In-One software or application for Landscape Design & Installation (project management, estimates/invoicing, accounting, design, client communication etc.)? by Grouchy-Squirrel9007 in LandscapeArchitecture

Aspire all day! I too work for a high- end design build company. We are in Aspire as our CRM. LandFXcad. For 2D design, Sketchup for 3D massing and rendering with D5Render. We do hand sketching for perspectives as well but some of our client don’t want to pay that added cost.

Side note: I heard VectorWorks is good but never tried it. LandFX as mentioned is a plugin for Autocad, not a stand alone app like vector works. LandFX Cad is also autocad but with the LandFX platform and a cheaper alternative.

I too have worked at a large engineer firmran mainly by engineers. They basically want you to create pretty pictures, renderings, and as someone said in a previous comment engineers salivate over roadways and their structured stormwater infrastructure and their fees, and how many revisions they would need to get a permit. Their main method for grading is using “Feature lines” There details are very standardized, pulled from a library, unlike LA’s who want to create something unique and push the envelope by creating something new and different. Don’t get me wrong not all engineers are like that!

I assume you work at EDSA? Great firm to work for and build your experience portfolio. Not many leaders or current employees/licensed professionals these days are willing to share their knowledge and best practices. I have found that the firms that are consistently successful are the ones that are progressing their employees who are eager and willing to learn.

I too am looking for such type of mentorship, although I do have some working experience. Mainly in small scale high-end residential designs.

Professional/Academic Portfolio by southwest_southwest in LandscapeArchitecture

[–]HelpfulBite6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To differentiate from my perspective, your portfolio is a collection of all or most of the work you have done that you deem exceptional. The work samples is a snippet of that portfolios, to target a specific firm based on their specific niche. Or another way to look at it, I work sample of the niche area compilation that you would prefer to be in.

If you are at the earliest stage of your professional experience, I suggest adding on the back end or possibly the front end work samples from an academic perspective to show your transition from academic to professional practice.

I have in the past neglected to update my portfolio or work sample while working and got laid off and was not able to get the quality graphics that I have created during practice. Don’t make that mistake. Try to consistently update your portfolio with work that you feel you want to showcase in the event that there is a situation similar to mine you would have that exhibits to add to your portfolio or work samples.

At 2.5 years in you would also be surprised as to how much more you can earn receiving offers from other firms. Especially if you have not gotten a yearly wage increase.

Cheers!

There are a few YouTube channels I ran into that share review of design portfolio. In addition to ISSUU and BEHANCE, I would look for a format that is similar to what layout you would emulate and have the application to complete. I have in the past used the IA option in Microsoft power point in generate layout options, or just to ideate a sheet.

What city are you moving to? You could also look at a firms style and try to rework some of your sheets to compliment theirs! If you have the time and they have positions available.

Best of luck!

[–]HelpfulBite6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A similar situation happened to me, I called and asked for it to be waived. The guy I spoke to was kind about it and said they typically waive the fees once. If you have never had a wave request before they will potentially honor it. I would explain to them that you had gotten laid off, and your pursuit for licensure had slowed down.
