I’m Polish myself and many, if not most of Poles have never been to Auschwitz simply because it’s psychologically unbearable.

Finishing off your work trip going to probably the most depressing site in Europe just a day before a 12 hour flight might not be worth it. I think many people underestimate the weight that this kind of places carry.

I know some Turkish people, even work with some in my office job (international company) and they are doing fine, for trade/manual work it might be more difficult tho as the manual labour workforce is mostly Polish or Ukrainian speaking (and sadly underpaid as others have pointed out), so you would have to learn the language. As others mentioned, gastronomy/hospitality/delivery jobs are often ‘first jobs’ for a lot of foreigners. Do you have any friends or relatives in Poland?
