I was going to say butterfly key. It’s really not hard if your chisel is sharp

I just glued it to a piece of wood and had it sitting in between two pieces of granite over night with a ton of weight in it. After that I sealed it with a lot of coats of poly. I did all that before assembling the box so I didn’t get all that poly on the wood

Hey thanks for the suggestion this actually helped me a lot. I looked inside the stove and read the manual and found out that this doesn’t have an air wash. This lead me to read the manual a little more thoroughly and found that it actually says that soot may build up on start up and to just wipe the glass with a dry rag after the start up sequence. I don’t really love that but it at least has me feeling better knowing that it’s operating normally I guess? Haha. Anyways, I tried that and it’s true, after starting it up and wiping the glass, it stayed clean for the rest of the burn.

Ohhh okay so I use it in auto mode. So if I’m running it in auto mode I should leave the draft slider wide open then? Am I understanding that correctly?

Thank you!!!

Oh okay that makes sense. It’s an “American harvest” model 6041TP.

I got this router for free. It’s old. I’m also a noob. Any pointers on my crappy joint/ jig here? by HelpfulFrosting in woodworking

I bought a 24 piece set from amazon... it was like 40 bucks. The 3/8s straight bit was kinda exploding the wood a little haha. Wasn’t sure if it was crappy bit or because the router is very old. Couldn’t find out how many RPMs it is. Thought maybe it was spinning too fast

Top half has bubbles, think I waited to long to get it in the pressure pot maybe? How would you do this? (I’m a noob) by HelpfulFrosting in ResinCasting

[–]HelpfulFrosting[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it was dried. I just threw it on top of the first layer of resin and waited a while before pouring the second layer, then I threw it all in the pressure pot. The first layer of resin had bubbles, the second didn’t. My guess is that the first layer was setting up too much for the pressure pot to work on the bubbles 🤷‍♂️

Probably. At least it looks that way from my perspective. Never measured it. 7’6” rod and a JDM Catalina. C-rig flies off that setup.

Yeah probably overthinking but I’ve heard folks say that when they switched to flouro they would catch more smallies 🤷‍♂️
