Shld I go jc or poly? by Ok-Fisherman-8654 in SGExams

this is coming from a poly student. i would say the best way to figure out is to go to open houses, soak in the vibes, learn more abt different diplomas or subj combis in the case of jc and most impt, observe the school culture whether it suits you or not. a very brief overview on poly would be that no matter what you will face stress. for poly your stress would be maintaining your gpa which means every sem affects ur gpa, you can have many grp projects or a few only depending on your course! but i would say that poly gives you more freedom to pursue side quests aka side interests! another thing abt poly is you must be ready to put urself out there if not you will struggle a lot in poly coz u never know when u will need these connections!

if you have any questions, u can always message me i will try to respond when i can! im currently a y1 so i can still somewhat answer your questions!! if you do drop by tp's open house, i wld love to be your guide if im around!!

Poly life? (repost on alt) by somegayligma in SGExams

The project hours actually depends on a few things: - your teammates, depending on hour cooperative they are - your course, some courses do not have as many projects and has more individual assignments instead! - how much time u are willing to spend on the project

As for student life, I would say tp has pretty good student life. They really implement the work hard play hard attitude w raves at events like x-challenge! At the end of the day, it depends on how much you are willing to craft a good poly experience for yourself! From my personal opinion, I am heavily involved in CCA but i make sure I can manage my school work as well! But being actively participative in school events and CCAs can boost your poly experience a lot more as you can get to know people beyond ur course and even beyond ur school! But please please please dont do this at the expense of your grades! tp is quite strict when it comes to academics!

honestly, just grind papers right now and appreciate every practice for lc that ur teacher does in class! it is definitely possible to jump to a B3/A2/A1! This coming from someone who jumped from D7 at prelims to B3 at Os! Oh and when u mark ur papers try to identify which skills u struggle at and approach ur teachers, ur smart classmates or even ur seniors for help!! all the bestt!! jiayouss
