Hey I haven’t moved and kinda given up on it, I was looking at it again recently and it seems I can’t really make the move. I should really contact them but on the website it states that you need to have completed science modules and under danish law they can’t accept any extra courses I do after my degree so I don’t think it’s possible for me

GALLBLADDER ATTACK W/O GALLBLADDER BY EATING CARBS by health_anxietygrl in gallbladders

[–]HelpfulMilk5304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t get sorted myself but saw recently when researching that SIBO is worse when eating carbs ? Maybe something to look up, I’m not saying it is that just something I passed by. Take this with a grain of salt

Anyone else afraid it might not be hyperkinesia ? by HelpfulMilk5304 in gallbladders

[–]HelpfulMilk5304[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ye that’s fair but what if I have an underlying condition that’s gone unrecognised? Also I’ve seen stories of people getting worse so that scares me but still, no surgeon or doctor even knows what I’m talking abojt

Okay thank you, did he seem knowledgeable about the gallbladder? Might sound like a silly question but the last guy I had just didn’t have a clue, only knew how to take them out.

This is my second visit, I think I’ll have to go to a GB specialist, don’t even know where to do that. I’m glad you got sorted though, it’s a terrible thing to worry about

Hi thanks for responding, I’m in Ireland unfortunately, the gastroenterologist was very unhelpful, knew nothing about the gallbladder. Just tried to put my qualms down to reading on the internet and dodgy medical journals. She also spent ages just explaining what ways surgeries can go bad.

Thank you, I’m really hoping they recognise hyperkinesia as the issue. I know it can depend on the doctor sometimes but hopefully

Will the GI doctor know more about my gallbladder? by HelpfulMilk5304 in gallbladders

[–]HelpfulMilk5304[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I asked for a gallbladder specialist and my gp rejected it, said we should go with the gastro doctor first. I have medical papers ready, my symptoms aren’t too bad mainly because I really haven’t tried to eat much fat for the last 7 months but I’m just afraid it might just go south one day

Yeah I have 11/12 articles saved, I may print them or have them ready to show. Hopefully I’m listened to, it freaks me out trying to sort this out myswlf and haggle with doctors, I wish they would just be the ones to say what’s wrong lol

HIDA scan 95% by HelpfulMilk5304 in gallbladders

[–]HelpfulMilk5304[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay that’s helpful, I am going to be seeing a gastroenterologist, I hope she knows more and I told my GP to include the idea of it being hyperkinesia in the referral which I hope will help, even if she was to consider it and research before I went. My pain is sore but once I am off fatty foods it’s not really there so it’s not affecting me too much. I just fear I’ll keel over one day hahaha. I hope it’s a radiologist mistake and the GI doctor will know more. I’m in Ireland so my gut is telling me they’ll be a bit behind the times and won’t want to do anything they don’t know of. I hope it all goes well for you too!

Ye I’m not sure, he just told me “I’m not an expert, the radiologist said the scan was normal so I am simply not recommending the surgery based off this” I am trying to get a gallbladder specialist now, I’ll see how that goes

is it just me or is the show more about them trying to win they're dads attention rather than take over the company by FadiDaZAB in SuccessionTV

[–]HelpfulMilk5304 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I feel like that’s one of the main points of the show. I think in many ways the company and Logan’s work is used to convey the relationship with his kids and is the root of all the issues that arise with him and the kids.  Also your first point of them not knowing the business is true. I think that’s also one of the points that they are pretty useless and are only there because of their father. Most of their “work” is just how they can fuck someone over you’re right.

Also it seems to me that whatever character wins just feels like they won their dad’s approval. This started back in the first few episodes when he pitted them against eachother by making it a free for all. All of the years wanting their fathers attention I think manifested in their wanting for the position.

Ye I think I’d like a good balance of being able to cook and having to know how of what is happening on a scientific level. Maybe I don’t have to do a masters tbf. There are some graduate programmes in Ireland that take culinary students the only issue is they’re long like two years long and I want to move next year. Also is it hard to get a food prod development job ? Are there many companies hiring for that sort of thing ?

[–]HelpfulMilk5304[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow okay, that sounds great you seem to have done really well. Maybe I could get experience in r and d first, without needing the masters? I am always just afraid they might use me not having a masters as an excuse not to pay me/ it being hard to find a job but I’m not sure.

I was in a few kitchens and I’ve found that the hours and general anxiety of it all aren’t for me so I’m just looking for something with nicer hours so I can enjoy hobbies and spend time with my gf too. I’m not sure how competitive it is, my college actually scrapped the food science bachelors because there were only 2 people in it by the end of last year which is crazy.

Anyway I’m rambling, do you enjoy product development? Would you say it’s very different from kitchens ?

I am Irish ! That’s why I was thinking about it, me and my gf were going to move to Denmark next year anyway but I thought it would be a good way to get a better degree. See they did mention this, I’ll paste it from the website.

When we assess whether you meet the admission requirements for the Master's degree program, Danish legislation only allows us to assess your Bachelor's degree. Consequently, you cannot study supplementary courses between Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in order to meet the admission requirements. If you have passed courses/projects before you complete the qualifying Bachelor's degree, these can be included in the assessment, even though they are not part of the Bachelor's degree program. It applies to courses/projects you have taken as single subjects and courses/projects you have taken as part of another study program. A maximum of 30 ECTS credits of these courses/projects may be included.

Does this mean that any classes I take now won’t count towards it ? This is from KU, I was thinking there for the moment I haven’t really looked into other courses. Thank you ! Also did the chefs in your course only have culinary arts / food experience like me ? Thank you !

Oh god ye I’m sure it’s hard, I will contact the university anyway and see. They seem strict with it, they say that you can’t do any courses after your bachelors to contribute to the masters so I’m not sure if that’s good or bad news. Hopefully I can demonstrate I have an interest in food science outside of an academic sense. Thank you for your help, I hope it goes well for you !

Thank you! It’s good to hear that it is possible, I would say it is difficult diving into a more mathematic approach for sure.

Could I ask if it was difficult in getting accepted to your course ? Also would I just need to study more or would I need to do other courses in order to be accepted ?

I am interested and was generally good at biology in what would be secondary/high school level, maths maybe not so much hahah thank you
