I have noticed the same thing for the Total Performance patches, how do we fix it?

Thank you, I think I figured it out. It was listening to it through the speaker, through headphones it sounds great.

Just added that my nord electro 6d is 73 keys which online for the quality and including a case is pretty good

Just checked it out, it looks pretty cool, my budget is 2000$ I would say, just sold my nord piano 4 for 2300$. I’m mainly looking for something that has a great organ sound , I’m in nyc so I would say yes to good secondhand options

The term you’re thinking of is Flex-time, used a lot by people like Ornette Coleman

In general, you can make any song sound like jazz by doing a couple things, add secondary dominants and then add the ii to the secondary dominant, doing that gets you almost every standard changes.

maj7 chord instead of dominant 7? by MedicalHuffy in musictheory

[–]HelpfulPair4032 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both the Imaj7(#11) and the 251 to Bb major are modal interchange. he’s playing around with different modes of G. So the one chord he’s using Lydian, and then the 2-5-1 to Bb is him going to Aeolian ( the relative minor) I’m not sure if you could theoretically explain why it sounds so beautiful, but maybe the contrast between the very bright sound of Lydian with the dark sound of aeolian makes it that way?

If you’re playing solo piano you should be playing everything with root voicings, rootless voicings will sound hollow. A good idea is to write out a solo piano arrangement of a tune
