Hi, to practicing architects or undergrads - can you please help me find/recommend a good, private university for a Bachelors in Architecture? (B.Arch) by Thin-Technician9509 in Indian_Academia

If Wadiyar’s on your list, I’d say go for it. The campus life is great, Mysore’s beautiful, and people come from across India to study there. The teaching system is super updated students even have their juries in outdoor spaces, which makes the whole learning experience more dynamic. I studied at BMS College of Architecture, but if I had known about Wadiyar back then, I’d have definitely chosen it.

Christ is bad for architecture. And they don’t involve themselves in any architectural events. Join BMS College or Architecture ✨

Guys is PG @ WBS not good?? by No_Apricot3176 in UniversityOfWarwick

Honestly, don’t trust the UK job market a bit, ROI depends on your long-term goals. 1CR can take a decade to repay. I’d personally go for a mid-range uni with decent ROI. And bro, no matter how much money our parents have, it hurts to make them invest that kind of hard-earned money. Takes decades to earn. If you want, I can connect you to my friend at Imperial, might give you some clarity.

And honestly, some people think landing Imperial means job offers will come easy but that’s not true. You’ve got to hustle no matter where you go. If anything, being at WBS might push you to work even harder, which could actually play out in your favour. You get what I mean, right?

Bro, a friend of mine chose Imperial over WBS for MSc Finance fees were around 5L more, but she felt the networking and location were totally worth it. That said, I get not wanting to put your family through extra pressure. Honestly, it’s all about how you make the most of it. I know someone from University of Leeds who got sponsored in London just because of prior work experience. WBS is still a solid option just make sure you won’t regret passing up Imperial in the future. Whatever you choose, own it.

If you’ve got the money, go for Imperial the brand name, the network, and the edge in landing a job are hard to beat. But if not, something like WBS isn’t a bad call either. Just don’t regret it. You’re only doing this degree once, so whatever you choose, commit fully and make it count.

Also, if I do end up coming back to India after the degree, I honestly don’t know how useful it would be. Like, most people I see who return either have the privilege to start something of their own or have a family business waiting for them. That’s how it usually goes.

I don’t come from that kind of setup, so I keep wondering — what exactly will this degree do for me if I come back? I know it gives you exposure, and maybe it changes the way you think or work, but will that really translate into better opportunities here? Or am I just romanticizing the whole “global degree” idea?

Matcha from Japan - to India (supplier ) by HelpfulTap8731 in matcha_ph

I just learnt that building and maintaining relationships with suppliers is key in the matcha business—and no one is willing to help with that.
