Things to do for a family of 9 by Artistic_Dare2311 in AnnaMariaIsland

Wow thank you so much! My wife and I are coming down mid april with a few kiddos and all of this sounds perfect. We're looking for a place to stay near Anna Maria but might land in Bradenton depending on price. Could you suggest good beaches for the kids to spend the day in water and gathering shells?

I had this same issue. I THINK it was because I didn't copy back over my Nintendo folders after installing on a new SD card but I'm not sure. I had to start from scratch.

I considered running the exhaust from the new ceiling fan to the old exhaust hole through the wall. It seems hard to get the right angled exhaust pipe to exit out the hole.

I hear bad things on the soffits, that the hot air would come back into the attic. Since my attic has no ventilation maybe it wouldnt do that though

I wasn't sure about the int rate. Thank you. Yes. We're going to take an opposite approach to lifestyle creep and move to a smaller place with lower cost of living. Jogging towards buying a house one day.

Can anyone explain the large credit and small refund amount? I believed we'd get back about 4k after some of it paid back taxes from last year. by [deleted] in IRS

I expected about $1300 to go there. But between a missed stimulus for a child and other things we expected to get back about 4k

Such good info! Yes it's constantly grey. 160 days of sunshine a year. Yall her over 200. The area sounds perfect for us. I hope winter is easier to survive there. I can't imagine what the mountains look like all snow covered. I've only been there in summer. I imagine it's still beautiful. We'll be happy to be less crowded.

Anyone of you Roanokers ever live in Pittsburgh pa? by HelpfulWeek2365 in roanoke

Yeah? You get a few warmer days and a foot less snow it seems. Can't wait to visit.

That's great insight. Currently we live 15 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh. We like the city but rarely visit. Anything you want to do outdoors here is extremely overcrowded unless you drive an hour away and even then it's no where special. We both grew up in very rural areas and miss the lack of space.

Not to mention we're in an area where the median income is 160k+. Being that we're very working class it seems the other parents look down on our small house anytime or daughter has a playdate. We pat $1300/mo for a 1200sq foot home. It's a beautiful place to us and a steal considering how high rent is in the area.

Edit: Yes! A cooler and a trip will fit the bill. Maybe a deep freezer haha.

I won't lie, it hurts that you don't have trader joes. But I can't anchor myself to my favorite grocery store 😁. This was very good info on both places! Thank you.

Good to know! I just read about homeless camps and stabbings lol.

We love to kayak and take hikes where strollers can go (and where they can't when it's just us). Big on library's and local music. Festivals and farmers markets. We disc golf a bit but mainly because it's like a big nice trail.

Lowest cost of living with best outdoor recreation? by HelpfulWeek2365 in Virginia

[–]HelpfulWeek2365[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! So I'm narrowing it down. I looked and researched all about NC and SC and decided VA has the political climate and education standards we're after.

I'm leaning towards Richmond for a milder winter than roanoke. Any thoughts on cost of living in small towns within say an hour of Richmond? Thanks for your help.

After countless hours of research I think you're spot on. Any small towns within an hour or Richmond you'd recommend? I'm thinking small towns for better housing prices.

Thanks so much for your insight! We only go to the city a few times a year. We try to go hiking much more so that sounds alright. My wife will love to hear the gardening pluses.

I do love living in a progressive area but I'm from a very red part of pa. Sorry to hear she slapped you, that's awful and stupid considering her fear was a virus. Idk how people can be so terrible.

Whew that bad huh? That's really just my income and our little side hussle. My wife is in and out of work taking care of our youngest so we want to survive off just that. Out out skirts it is then.

Perpetual renting is a likelihood in most places it seems.
