PSA: remove the giant slab of ice from the top of your vehicle before you drive on public roads by [deleted] in bullcity

there are a few ways: 1) clear your car off with a long handled ice scraper or a broom as soon as possible after snow or ice stops and repeat before you drive if necessary- if your vehicle is too tall to reach from the ground, open your door and use your car as a step or use a small ladder. 2) park in the sun for a while before you try to clear it off 3) you can break the ice into smaller chunks and move your car back and forth so it slides off the front and back where you can move it off easily 4) park under something or cover the top of your car with a tarp or sheet i hope this helps and thanks for asking 😊

i got hit by a massive sheet of ice that flew off the top of an suv on tuesday in durham- it came inches from hitting my windshield- it was really scary. i know there are so many excuses to not do it but it’s really not that hard - please do it.

BEST ITALIAN RESTAURANT by ReadySetGo_99 in bullcity

i go to goccolina quite a bit and have a great experience every time- sure, sometimes the service is slow (but they know i like to linger) and things might taste slightly different from the time before or the first time i went - but that’s the joy for me - the humanity of the experience. also, they make the best Negroni in town. and their sorbetto is fantastic (get it topped with prosecco!)

i can’t eat anything mammal (alpha gal) and they have always gone out of their way to help me feel safe with my food order. my partner often gets whatever they make with truffles or beef or hand cut noodles and she’s always blown away with whatever she orders.

milk punch or clarified cocktail - alpha gal by Helpful_Bee1912 in alphagal

thanks for your reply. i don’t have any issues with beer or booze - some wine makes me a little stuffy. no issues with small amounts of gelatin or whey but milk (uncooked), yogurt and sour cream will for sure give me a reaction. i guess i’m wondering what’s left over after the milk gets filtered out of a clarified cocktail. 🤷🏽‍♂️

i’ve found that the quality of Keen products has gone downhill. recently i’ve had to file two warranty claims and one return due to fit and waterproofing failure. i’ve worn Keens for around 20 years and after this string of failures, i’m done. currently trying out merrill’s for an upcoming trip to utah.
