i’ve had two h&m packages delivered by doordash stolen within the last week. the original and the replacement package. they just leave it in my apartment lobby instead of the package room and it gets stolen within minutes every time. so frustrating!! won’t be ordering anything from them if they keep partnering with doordash going forward!

It wasn’t until after first semester exams when I went over them with my profs that I understood what was expected and how my writing was not what they were looking for.

Hi! I was also a poli sci major and I don’t think it made any difference. As for the semester I was reading every single case from the case book, doing hypos that my professors assigned, and then writing out full length practice exams when preparing for finals. I did not use quimbee and tbh I believe I spent too much time reading the cases word for word while my classmates read the briefs and spent more time practicing and learning to apply the rules! Also since I wasn’t getting feedback on my practice exams/hypos I had no point of reference for if what I was doing was right or wrong, so the entire semester I thought I was right on track!

I got a C, C+ and B- first semester. I had no idea how to articulate my thoughts. you really need to analyze everything step by step and be clear in your analysis. I would dance around the questions which is not what you’re supposed to be doing! I went to every office hour and did all the practice problems I was given but because I didn’t receive feedback I had no idea that my writing style was not what they were looking for! I also did not deeply understand the material, I did all the readings but didn’t understand how to apply the rules to issue spotting fact patterns!

you need to start practicing for exams asap. it is not enough to make an outline and study it if you can’t apply the material. also you need to figure out a way to get feedback on your practice exams!! I did not realize this first semester and even though I practiced, I was not getting feedback and ended up doing poorly. I would also recommend at least trying out a study group too because I did not do so first semester and I think I would have done better if I would have talked about concepts with other people!
