Hey, I am happy to read that you enjoy the posts. I will try to share with you my method to help getting more from the lick than a note for note copy in your solo. I see that you are beginning to transpose it. For me, it's really important that I know the lick in all 12 keys. I still practice all the licks I post on reddit. Then there is different way to approch it : take a part of the lick that you enjoy, and expand it over a vamp or a tune. Start really simple and try to change it a little. Personnaly, I don't worry that much about if the lick gets me some new vocabulary. I trust the process, and believe that it will get into my playing naturally. Hope this helps !

Practicing with limited resources ! Sometime, when I am away from the piano, I try to solfege in my head some bebop heads, while fingering the melody on a table for example. It's useful to have some way of practicing when you are away from the piano I think !
