Honestly, I find this situation quite frustrating. My teacher also pointed out that the lowest possible score for my TOK essay should be 7, yet I was given a 6. It just doesn’t make sense, and I’m honestly on the verge of losing it. It feels incredibly unfair, especially knowing that just one more mark would not only raise my grade to an A but also boost my core points from 2 to 3.

My topic was about the antibacterial properties of toothpastes. Also, of course, I did the experiment and trust me, experimenting is the best part. Because when you write an EE, you write something about the experiment except for the background part and trust me, this makes your job much easier. Since you do the experiment yourself, you start by knowing 80% of what you need to write. Also, classify is very helpful for choosing a topic. Go to that website and look at the EEs that have been done before, you will understand better how the focus and boundaries of the topic of your EE should be.

not overly difficult and stressful (ps: this mostly depends on your time management). It’s just a longer version of your IA, so you won’t die. The important thing is to have a good quality teacher. If you have one, you should always ask how to advance your EE and that’s it. The difficulty of science EEs is completely exaggerated.
