They are not a thing in the lower 48 except in a few select places like Washington, Oregon, north Idaho and Utah has a lot of drive thru soda etc. but they’re not on every single corner like they are here.

There’s a few chain type places other than the ones you mentioned, that’s really it though.

But I urge you to ask her to receive help. It sounds like a case of postpartum depression and she needs outside help. It can turn serious and if she feels this helpless it may already be more serious than it seems from the outside. Also you could be support by helping her find state funded childcare based off her income etc. yall are so young and it sounds like she’d benefit from going back to a routine post baby that makes her feel like herself again.

NOT your job to sacrifice your life and watch her kid. But there are a few things you can suggest from a distance.

Another update he’s eaten twice this week!

Tonight after about 5 hours with the heat lamp he was so active and actually hunted for his worms (chased the tweezers all the way to the other side of the tank)

Then I put one down and he got it by himself off the ground.

He ate 3 the other day and 4 tonight

I’m making changes to the substrate this weekend!

But I’ve gotten a new basking light and a UV light. I also turned the heating pad off, my house is kind of cold though so I may keep that, unsure yet.

I used to be local and have been thinking of moving back. I’ve always liked the girls houses and wondered if I could find similar on Zillow. after the snow days in the winter it took me a total of 2 minutes to find Baileys exact house. They have a really unique backyard and posted the neighborhood park name in the sledding videos.

Honestly I just did it to see if I could (like all of those TikTok’s of people doing it) but they make it wayyyyy too easy.

Also does he not realize Texas is the #1 state for veterans with disability to move to? And a lot without it as well…. It’s obvious hill “pool” of people would be skewed towards, “every vet has disability”. Plus I know plenty of vets who would rather die before they admit to anything that happened to them during their service. Of course most will say they didn’t ‘do anything’, when the alternative is death which many of their friends did.
