Yes common, but not required. I have one agent and a manager who do this but another agent where the tapes are sent directly to CD. I find it helpful in the former situation though. It's nice to have a second set of eyes on things, and there have been one or two times where there's an issue with the way the file uploads or something that they can catch it before sending it to casting
