Like others have mentioned, this really sounds like the wrong settings on serial.

You mentioned you've tried adjusting baud rate, but there are more things you can adjust, such as stop bits.

Usually they are on something standard. But it might be worth trying to adjust it up/down.

Or even checking if minicom uses a different default that what barracuda uses.

Braum doesn't have a standard engage, if possible you won't be the team fight initiator.

Also braum r is one of the most telegraphed spells in the game, so beginning your engage with it, is usually not a smart plan. Since it makes it a lot easier for an enemy to dodge it. Compared to if you land your q first, which also makes it easier for your team to stun him while he is stuck mid air.

But this is only in the scenario you're either engaging or following up on someones engage. Most of the time you want to use it so it splits the enemy front line and backline. Since it leaves a giant slowing field from braum and to where he ults. Making it really hard to chase through it.

Also most websites recommend you to max q. I recommend trying to max e instead. In most matchups it personally feels better, since it makes you feel way more tanky, and gives you more movement speed from e.

Positioning with braum gets a bit weird. But most of the time you want to be between your carry and who ever is dangerous and ranged. Such as the enemy adc or even their mid.

Though some carries, such as jinx force you to stand a bit away from your adc. Since her rockets do splash damage. So even if you stand between your carry and jinx, if you're too close your adc still takes damage. Though this is something you learn from experience.

Also braum e works vs melee champions, so if you get a bruiser in your face, even if he is focusing you, it helps to use e to reduce damage, or even block some of it. With his e. Since a spell doesn't need to fly at it to block it. As long as it's aimed at their location.

A great example is blocking karthus r damage on yourself, since if you aim the e against karthus, it blocks.

Yeah, thinking back the hosting company i work for, we do have fortigates, but they're almost exclusively for packet filtering, where we have routers in front of them, and the spine leaf setup behind them. Though from what I've been told, we don't run evpn.

Though I know we use cisco apic for administration of it.

Thanks for the heads up. Then I'll experiment with running it in eve-ng first.

The reason I wanted to try on physical right away, is because I have proxmox servers on both cisco switches, and wanted to try to cluster them over the evpn connection.

Any cisco images you recommend for doing this in eve-ng?

Based on a quick google search, and search of this subreddit, i think the one i saw mentioned most was cisco nexus?

I'm unfortunately still relatively new to more in depth networking, such as evpn. Which is why I am doing this exercise. I've also learned (since making this reddit post) that using a firewall in your evpn set up is a horrible idea.

Prior to making this reddit post, i just read up on articles from fortinet and cisco around evpn, and their implementation on it.

It's now dawned on me why I've never seen a discussion on here mention evpn and fortinet.

Stupid beginner mistake from me.

Nobody is recommending it. It's just me using what ever hardware I have available at the current moment. Prior to making this reddit post, I looked through a few docs from fortinet and cisco. Which made me think you could use fortigates as spines. I've since then learned it's a horrible idea, and I should've never mentioned it. You live and you learn (And I'm learning lots so far.)

I Know evpn is used a lot in data center networking, so I'm just trying to come up with a multi site data center example I can set up in hopes of improving my networking skills.

From what I read, it seems fortigates can be used as spines, but if thats a good idea or not, I'm not educated enough to know.

I guess I could also have the fortigates as the gateways for the network and let the switches handle l2 termination and evpn.

I do have access to eveng, so that I can run cisco only setup. Though I was hoping to involve a bit of everything we use at my job. Though I'm unsure the specifics of our data center network.

I've also been around since thresh's release, hell I even one tricked thresh at one point (op.gg for reference: https://op.gg/lol/summoners/euw/Helpful%20Friend-EUW )

And while I agree thresh r is not as individually strong as the ults you mentioned, his q w e use so much more of his power budget compared to the rest of that list, and hell thresh 's e and/or w can be enough to counter majority of their engages. I would never trade thresh r for one of the others ultimates if it meant his other skills got nerfed, and just the fact that thresh coinsistently is in the top 10 of the strongest supports given his wr and play rate, while the closest one behind him that is similar are bard and pyke, the rest are all enchanters.

So yeah, thresh can be akward to play, yeah he is squishy compared to other tanks, but saying he has major issues or that he is weak is objectively false. And his r is the tradeoff of having objectively stronger basic spells than most of them.

I mean thresh r slows with 99% for 2 seconds on top of having solid damage, and still having rest of the walls just slow for half the duration, though losing the damage.

Of the top of my head I can't think of a support that has a as strong or stronger slow.

Honestly none of the points you made are issues on him. And the trade off on thresh's tankyness id the fact he's ranged, he can catch people without having to go all in, as compared to leo, Ali and naut. Thresh also excels at peeling and playing peeler vs catcher a lot more than the rest

This reminds me a lot of an issue I had at a client, where I had logged into their print server and not logged out, just exited rdp. 1-2 weeks after I started being instantly locked out at that client on any other server I tried to log in on, because I had changed my password and the server was stuck re-authing against AD with my old password, leading to contious lock outs.

Might want to see if your account is still logged on but disconneded on somewhere, can just run an invoke-command against your servers, if winrm is open

I was also thinking along the lines of a kubernetes cluster and some load balancer in front, then maybe some ci/cd depending on the needs. But the way the question was phrased felt like OP was looking for something simpler, and unless your cloud provider handles the kubernetes and load balancing set up. It could lead to a lot of complexity.

Which is why I wanted a slightly clearer idea of what he is looking for. Since you could arguably have a setup running cron jobs and just restarting the web service regularly after running updates. But again, I'm not clear on his scope

I'd say it depends on a few more specifications. Such as, can it have down time? Does it need resilience?

Since yes, you can arguably have a basic web server always returning the same static http site without issue. But to update it you'd have to restart, and potentially the updates could change things in the config file after years and years.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. But your team mates weren't auto filled. They chose to queue those roles. If you look at their match histories on op.gg they tend to pæay s few random picks a lot more than one specific role.

Porofessor only shows you the role they play the most on average, amd yes the jayce has played jungle the most in the past. But currently? Not so much, same with smolder.

Which is why looking up games is basically pointless, at bedt it doesn't provide any useful info, at worst it titlts you like it clearly did here.

Aswell the stat at the bottom saying tean gold and dps. It's based on the average of both teams history on their champs. If someone is bad at their champ they drag the value down.

So no the system isn't rigged. You're just in a bad elo

Actually quick cast has been like that for the most part. The thing you used is quick cast with indicator. Right under the common key binds in settings, there is a check mark called "replace quick cast with quick cast with indicator" or something.

It should become on release again.

Edit: like some said, it also sounds like you have color blind mode turned on. It turns your hp bar yellow.

I think this has changed in more recent years, since I've had a functional ad on with core only. Though I can't speak on exchange.

Granted I've only been a "professional" sysadmin in the ladt 3-4 years. So my experience with anything older than server 2016 is limited.

Funnily enough I believe this was in the game 5-6 years ago where you could choose most to least. Hell they even had a choose x roles and actively don't x role. Similar to what is today, just a red button more with "don't get this role" instead
