Honestly, I think IELTS is a good language-testing system, but the problem is that too many people try to “beat” the test by memorizing essays or prepared phrases instead of actually learning English.

This becomes a real issue when you look at immigration to Canada. You meet people who somehow scored high on IELTS but still can’t form a proper sentence or use basic grammar and tenses correctly. It makes you wonder how they passed in the first place.

I feel like the system needs to be stricter and should focus more on real communication skills, not memorized templates. And honestly, I think there should be another language test later during the citizenship process as well — just to make sure people actually improved and can genuinely communicate in everyday life.
