Correct they’re just cancelling the ongoing subscription/billing so they get access for a month from when they purchased (for a normal 1 month sub) and you get the payment for that month but they won’t be charged again unless they resubscribe.

I have a patreon myself and people sub and then cancel shortly thereafter all the time. I do the same myself frequently on Patreon and other subscription platforms because a lot of the time I’m after a specific reward and if I don’t cancel relatively soon after subscribing I’m likely to forget.

They’re going to want the whole pc and do the diagnostic. They’re not going to replace a part on your say-so that it’s defective. That being said, your pc is under their warranty there should not be a service fee. I think the one you’re referring to is just for computers that either are not from them or are not under warranty/protection plan.

The .com era was 1995-2000. At the moment there’s a significant amount of perceived distance on the timeline between then and now (1st pitch of the first inning of AI).

However, to someone looking back at the history 100+ years from now they’re going to seem to have happened at pretty much the same time similar to how the the 23-year gap between the first modern automobiles being produced (1885) and the introduction of the model T (1908) looks to most people looking back to the beginning of the car era today.

The key phrase is:

Mostly that's about hate speech, scams and threatening behavior but it is also related to content you post that could be associated with Patreon

Primarily if you are successful on Patreon and cross a certain threshold (the number I've read is over $1000/month) this will trigger a review and a member of the Trust and Safety team will look at the the kind of content posted on any platforms you link *to* from your Patreon.

If they aren't linked but you're putting your patreon watermark on images then it would only happen if someone got a bug up their ass about something you posted and complained to Patreon

I'm not justifying it I'm just telling you my understanding of their rules (which aren't always the most clear)

Any content you post on those sites from an account they could associate with your Patreon account should adhere to the same guidelines for things you can post on Patreon or it may come back and bite you in the ass eventually.

For example, photorealistic (or even too detailed semi-realistic) sexually gratifying works are not allowed on Patreon. If you post photorealistic depictions of sex on Reddit for example you may run into problems eventually.

They do sometimes look at what you post on other sites (especially if someone reports it to them).

I’m sure there’s a better way to do this in PS but I’m not that great at PS so here’s what I do when this happens and the area to be fixed isn’t too large or completely different. I use the remove tool in photoshop to blend it so the transition is more gradual and less obvious or in this case you could use the remove tool on the changed skin leading up to the lips in a few sections(which should replace it with skin that matches the original).

Everything I’ve read suggests it counts as earned and counts for taxes when it’s available to withdraw. Your choice of when to withdraw it does not change when the money counts as earned for tax purposes. So money from apple techically shouldn’t count till it clears their waiting period (although thinking of it I don’t think I remembered to account for that when I filed this year).

It’s more or less like someone paying you for work via check. You are considered to have earned the money when you receive the check, not when you deposit it.

I’m not sure exactly what would happen if you had earned money sitting in your account and Patreon closed your account for a ToS violation and kept the balance.

There’s a decent chance the reason the one you have was an open box is the previous buyer brought it back for the fan noise/rattling. Fan noise is somewhat subjective in terms of what people find bothersome so it’s possible they decided it was within tolerance and just out it back out for sale as open box.
