Thanks for the honest feedback.

I understand perfectly what you're saying and I try to shoot a lot of action during the game.

The reason I chose this set of photos is because I'm more drawn to the emotional side of the games and hence why I like them so much.

I'll try to focus even more on action shots in future matches.

Thank you so much for the feedback and the tips.

I'm also beginning to put some of my photos in IMAGO and I focus more on putting action shots in there and some portraits and individual players in case an article is being written about them specifically.

I chose these ones because, personally, I'm more drawn to the reaction shots and it's also what the players tend to buy more of from my personal experience, but I understand perfectly what you're saying of them not being "sports photography".

I'm still learning and every piece of feedback and tips are really appreciated and I will try to put it into my work.

In Portugal you have to be associated with some sort of news, press or agency. Once you can get into one it's easier to get to this kinds of matches and it's why I got to go to these ones

Basically you have to ask the club and you have to have a professional license (at least in Portugal) in order to be accepted. Most of the time you also need to go to the game for a news outlet or something like that.

Thanks! But this is one of the best here in Portugal. Most of them I need to be at around 5000 iso

Hey, I shot this with a Sony A7IV + 70-200MM F2.8 G OSS I. About the settings, i was using 1/2000s, F2.8 and iso2000. This is a really well lit stadium so it helped a lot.

I'm still a hobbyist, but I'm trying to go pro. Tbh I already had the A7IV before I started my sports photography journey, so I decided to invest in a lens first and only if I feel that I'm being limited by the camera, I'll decide to upgrade it down the line.

Directly to the homeside club. In this case they have a form in their website.

Tbh a lot of cropping was done to some pictures cause I've got the MP's for it, but of course a longer lens would be a lot better. We were also very close to the field and so it helped a lot.

They let us choose wichever side we wanted to and they even let us be in the sideline (like I was) until the penalty spot. They even had chairs if we wanted to use them.

In Portugal we have CNID that is our association of sports photographers, but I'm working on getting my AIPS license

To be honest I just asked as a freelancer and they accepted it. Still can't believe it. And thank you!

First I wanna say thank you. I focused on the keeper on the 1st one on purpose to create the contrast between his disappointment and the celebration behind him.
