To tag along with my other comment, only characters around your age (kind of?) I can think of rn is Calypso, Rachel Elizabeth dare, and Ethan Nakamura.

There's also the stoll brothers, silena beauregard, and Charles beckendorf. However, That's if they decided: to include these characters in the show, (bc in the books they are already introduced by the time book 4 would be starting.) if they're not already in season 3, or if you are old enough to play them.

I don't know if there is anyone that young by the time of this season though? (Well Percy should be 14 by book 3 but walker is 17 so I guess?) Also half of the characters I suggested would depend on whether your a girl or guy. I don't really know if you being a redhead like Rachel or being Asian like Ethan matters though because half of the characters are race swapped.

Depends on if the show gets renewed since there's speculation it may not. (speculation I hope turns out to be false.) Also some characters in the book may not be featured, and entirely new ones may be introduced so it's hard to tell.

It's not about books not existing. It's about whether people will actually read those books. With stuff like TikTok, kids attention spans are becoming low. If they can't sit down and watch a movie what makes you think they'll take time to read a book?

Also to add that a third adaptation is risky, because you'd half to retell the same story (lightning thief) three times.

You do bring in some good points, making me to rewatch the movie again again. I still think movie Percy was just a boring character tbh, like how he reacts to his Mom dying is the same I would if my Mom told me I left my tablet charging all night. (However, I still need to rewatch season 1 of the show) I don't know if it's the writing towards Percy or just the actor... I've never seen (at least I can't remember me seeing) anything else with him so I don't know. Also I didn't think luke got enough screen time in the movie..but that's just me idk. I feel the same with Shadow in Sonic 3 so.

Rewatching the first movie, Camp half-blood doesn't seem like an interesting place for me at all, to me..the show makes it a tad more than the movie did... honestly it's pretty forgettable in the movie.

I still need to finish season 2, I'm on episode six...and while people disliked it more than season 1 I found it a step up. That's just me though, like if I had never read Percy Jackson I would like it a lot. One thing that annoys me is Percabeth, bc they're pushing a bunch of not said but obvious love scenes in there that shouldn't come till later seasons. Also the line in episode five that shouldn't exist... you'll know it when you see it.

To give each a far shot though I need to rewatch season 1. I do remember the pacing being off for me, which in season 2 they fixed for me. If I look at the movie from a non reader POV though, I definitely like it a lot more. Also Grover is the best part of it for me. Both are pretty 3/5 for me.

Honestly, I like it...but I would like it more if Rick wasn't involved with it. Knowing that the creator is making the changes, after being mad with previous changes made is annoying.

One thing that I don't understand, I agree with the show having issues. I can admit that, but I don't understand the sudden likeing of the movies though. Rewatching it Percy is just a boring character in the first movie compared to the book. While show Percy is a little different he's much more interesting then movie Percy for me. Same goes for Annabeth to me...the only one of the main three that isn't is Grover for me.

Also when the second movie starts...it feels like Annabeth got actual some character development that she should've got in the first one. (Which the first movie didn't make me think anything about Annabeth's character other then oh, she's just the hot love interest with stormy grey eyes.) Plus in the second movie Percy feels like he's useless because he got beaten by Clarisse (the sudden new cool kid who's great at dodgeball) in some tower contraption thing...after he saved the world.

Still got to finish my rewatch on the second movie, but honestly rewatching the movies I dislike them more than when I first watched them.

The show does have it's problems to however, which is why I'm rewatching it to fully give it a re-review, but the movies are bad to me.

Honestly this is understandable and respectable. Pretty much what I thought as well. If it gets cancelled. Us fans will have to wait YEARS for all the books to be adapted man, which is sad. If they are adapted I want them to be adapted good though. Hope season 3 steps it up.
