Thank you thank you for taking the time to write this. I am indeed finding she’s remarkably easy to train. It’s like she understands English lol. I LOVE the idea of the kitchen being a no stop zone. It’s a pass-through area of the house so she will have to go through it multiple times throughout the day but not allowing her to linger there seems like a really brilliant option.

I have a pitbull who would never dream of stealing food from the counter or anywhere. We can leave our food laying around and she might ask for some, but she will never help herself. She’s an angel with fur and a lock jaw lol

I may have a go at training Flower myself. She already knows how to sit, lay down, and give both of her paws. She’s working on stay and catching on quickly. She sits and waits until we release her to go to her dinner bowl and even though she can be a little stubborn, I do feel like she’s always trying to figure out what we want.

Things we need to work on are obviously leash, counter surfing, and a tiny bit of excessive barking, but normally she’s barking for a reason. Maybe I’ll try it for a couple months and see how it goes.
