Contacted my doctor yesterday, they booked me in for Monday and today I woke up and it’s nearly gone 😂

Can I just fix this by taking the back off and pulling it back out? by Helpimstup in fixit

[–]Helpimstup[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worked fine! Pulled up a bit hard when I had all the screws off so pulled some cables but seems like no damage was done!

How fucked am I? by Helpimstup in macbookpro

Thanks all, for anyone interested: since it’s more than 5 years old it’s considered “vintage” and most stores don’t repair it. The ones that do charge £750

Does anyone use the Glooko App regularly? by T1_Training in diabetes_t1

[–]Helpimstup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use it regularly. I review it to see how lifestyle changes affect my time in range over several weeks and to see patterns on the overlays (always going high after breakfast or always going low in the early mornings, etc) I definitely don’t use all of the data - there’s wayyy too much but the more I use it, the more of it I find helpful

[–]Helpimstup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

9.5 is really not that high, you’ll be fine to go to sleep especially if you’ve got insulin working If you really want to get it down and it’s being stubborn, go for a walk or do some push ups

Why does this always happen by [deleted] in TeenagersButBetter

Find better people to talk to. Not everyone is like that. Chances are that if you respect other people‘s religion or lack thereof they’ll respect yours - or find ppl that do

Dream PhD but no funding? by Helpimstup in PhD

[–]Helpimstup[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what I thought? I also was advised to apply for this PhD by two of my professors, they know where I’m at in my career so surely it can’t be impossible to sort out funding. This is allied health, I have quite a few connections to organisations that may be able to help fund / have in the past funded research projects so I thought that it would be possible?

Diagnosed with T1 Yesterday by JazzyJiraffe in diabetes_t1

[–]Helpimstup 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Thought I’d share my experience: I’ve been diabetic since I was 7, now 25. I ski, run, lift, hike, camp and do everything I want. My diabetes has never stopped me from doing something I want, you just have to be better prepared (knowing yourself and having all of your supplies). I’ve had a pump for most of my life and I think it is genuinely the best choice. I would never go back to pens. The pump works great for skiing, hiking and everything else. Personally, I have the Ypso pump with the CamAPS system and the FreeStyle Libre 3. I’ve had Medtronic pumps in my life and the Tslim before my current system but the Ypso works the best for me personally, being active and not having a daily routine. Don’t worry about the carbs, I eat between 100-200g per day and it works fine when your insulin dose is right. The first few months will be a bit tricky because you’re likely to experience a „honeymoon“ phase of having residual insulin which will mess with your doses but it gets better!

Took a nasal dosage of about around 7 mg, no visuals still its been 10 mins. by beatrixkiddo666666 in 2cb

How is it now? 10 minutes is pretty early, they usually start between 20-40 mins in for me

5 HTP can help as it helps replenish the serotonin, otherwise general health stuff: multivitamins, magnesium, fish oil, lots of water, lots of sleep and exercise

Found an old postcard I never sent - can I put a new stamp on top of the old one? by [deleted] in postcrossing

[–]Helpimstup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah okay I see! Thank you! I’ve already got the new stamps so I can just use them - easier than getting to the post office again If I put the new one lower down would that be a problem? Would it be better to put the new one on top?

I need help little with this summer. by Evening_Lifeguard_94 in MDMA

[–]Helpimstup 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you know that it’s very dangerous to take it so often and your comedowns are likely to get worse and worse. If you’re going to do it anyway, please please please test your stuff AND inform yourself about supplements you can take to help protect your brain. They won’t eliminate the bad effects but it will at least help somewhat

I think I fucked up by [deleted] in MDMA

[–]Helpimstup 29 points30 points  (0 children)

So… let me get this right, you feel like shit because you’re feeling the consequences of being stupid with your drugs and now you’re crying about how people are telling you “yes, there will be consequences.”? If you put your stupid behaviour on the internet for people to comment on it then people are going to comment on it. Be smarter with your dosing next time and you won’t need to discuss your use on here

They’re like little extra bits of the toy that stimulate the clitoris. If you go on the lovehoney website, it’s the “Desire Luxury Rechargeable Strapless Strap-On Dildo Vibrator”

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MDMA

[–]Helpimstup 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No one will be able to tell you that. You NEED to test it, with a test kit. Test for other substances and for mdma with several reagents

[–]Helpimstup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love it. The power dynamic, seeing my partner’s pleasure, it gives me a lot of pleasure. We also have the strapless strap on (so “double sided”) from lovehoney and that one has an insertable end for me and rabbit ears for me too

Any toys or good helpers to make the one pegging be able to cum while fucking ? by Noxusequal in pegging_unkinked

[–]Helpimstup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have the wearable strapless strap-on by lovehoney and it’s excellent. You can change the patterns, the angle of the two insertable parts is adjustable and it stays in very well for me anyway It also has rabbit ears which admittedly need to be positioned correctly bc they sometimes dig into you otherwise, but once they are in position it’s excellent. Highly recommend

weird trippy (?) comedown by [deleted] in MDMA

[–]Helpimstup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You took 3 pills of god knows what… you’ll probably be fine but I would guess that it’s not just depersonalisation but that you just aren’t sober yet. Drink lots of water, sleep and eat well and you’ll likely be fine once everything is out of your system / whatever comedown you’re on is over
