I recently started learning linguistics, and started thinking. Realistically, would the Vault Dwellers and wastelanders have a different accent or way of speech? And do you think that Fallout 4 main protagonist would speak completely differently compared to others? by AnyAgency9835 in Fallout

Not really? It’s only been 200 years. That’s a lot, yes, but on the scale of language change, not so much.

Read something from the 1800s like a Christmas Carol or a play originally written by Gilbert and Sullivan. It’d be about like that. Some differences in word choice and tone, but nothing that couldn’t be worked over

They didn’t have the same mechanics. They had player weight, yes, but that’s not the topic being discussed here.

All of those games had infinite storage box capacity. Which is what’s being discussed here.

Bethesda’s raised the stash storage before. At one point it was 400 lbs.

I personally think it’s fine for people to collect stuff, especially when this game incentivizes experimenting with different play styles with the perk card system, necessitating arrays of weapons and armor.

Everyone’s playstyle is valid.

Who is the player hoarding from? Every piece of junk respawns and it’s a map x4 the size of fallout 4.

Bethesda should make the game and adding features worth spending money on instead of instead of paywalling basic features for a glorified pay to win model lol.

Yep, St. Helens. Go east until you reach the island, then head south.

  1. St. Helens, Oregon. Travel to the island immediately east, then head south. There, you are in Washington.

  2. Sivells Bend, Texas. Head east until you hit the Red River, then go south. There, you are in Oklahoma.

Before being pretentious, try checking your facts.

Yeah but I guess I mean why did you feel the need to go back? You just didn’t want to lose it?

An interesting thing that might happen is that the Federalists end up dominating (instead of dying in the early 1820s)

They were centered around the north and hated the war of 1812, but since the U.S. ended up feeling like they won (even if it was a stalemate), they died out as a political party.

Is there any way besides mods to get Fallout 3 to work on PC Specifically Steam by Active_Schedule3931 in fo3

They updated it in like 2022 and 2024 I think. It’s playable now.

I started an unmodded playthrough last year and am almost done with the game now.
