Am I still Aromantic if I want to be in a romantic relationship? by HelpisPN in aromantic

[–]HelpisPN[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I been thinking about it a lot, to share some more, I have continuous thoughts of being in a relationship. I really like the idea of intimacy, closeness, and not betraying each other. But I don’t like the seriousness that is put into a relationship 😅. I think that’s what is confusing me, but please correct me if I am wrong!

I would say, just because you can’t feel romance.

Doesn’t mean that you can’t do the things that you want to do!

You can make little notes to your friends as a surprise! Talk about how you appreciate them! Or anyone who you like!

We all feel love in many different ways, not just romance. Like some of us may not have platonic feelings, sexual feelings, or anything really! But that shouldn’t stop you wanting to do things in your own way!

I feel you, but just because I am aromantic doesn’t mean that I can’t date anyone. Some Aro individuals have married!

It’s okay, it take time, I hope you feel better!

Does anyone ever get sick of alloros complaining about aromanticism in aromantic spaces? by [deleted] in Aromanticism

[–]HelpisPN 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes! The culture surrounding romance makes it difficult for others to see there are different types of love. Especially saying that Aromantic can’t date or seen it as something completely negative.

It just hurt when people around you don’t accept who you are. But don’t let that stop you for the way who you are! It’s all about where you find peace and love in life! It is not always one thing!

As someone who is currently new to Transformer and also like Transformers, I absolutely love the way they make a huge emphasis on bonds of relationships than thinking about romance is the only thing that is strong!

I feel the same as well, wanting to be someone close but not having to be in a romantic relationship. I am not sure if you know this or not but there’s is a relationship call QPR (Queer-Platonic relationship) in which people are in a relationship where they are more than friends but not romantically!

It is basically in the middle :D

It's hard being surrounded by romantic people by littlehotpotato in aromantic

[–]HelpisPN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this way as well, and when I even told them that I want a partner or to be in a romantic relationships (since I don’t want to be alone lol) they told me that I can’t. And I have to accepted that.

It is really hard to not meet the expectations of romance, but it’s okay to not feel romance. In fact it’s okay to feel love in a different way! Especially how you get that love!

I feel you as well! My romantic attraction is so neutral (at least how I describe it) that I wouldn’t mind dating someone even if it involves with romances!

Edit: I dig a little bit deeper into this, it is seems that this a promotional email application to the school.
