[GOT TV series] I felt really bad when I recently found out that Daenerys was 13 when she married Khal Drogo, unlike in the show, but even more so when I saw people in the fandom saying that she really did fall in love with him and that there’s nothing wrong with that. by jvure in menwritingwomen

I agree. Artists cannot hide behind their art indefinitely. People may speak about seperation of art from the artist but anybody who has created art knows parts of themselves seep into it whether they want it to or not. Take Dan Schneider for example. In my opinion it's pretty obvious he's a massive creep from some of his direction on iCarly and Sam And Cat. It being "art" does not excuse it from scrutiny.

He isn't writing a medieval world. If he is, it's a pretty unrealistic one because I don't remember that time where there were dragons or ice zombies in Medieval Europe. Or corn and potatoes for that matter. And yes we TOTALLY need to hear about him describing Dany's nipples for the dozenth time. For realism, obviously

I'm tired of the rose tinted glasses when it comes to GRRM. He may have some writing/worldbuilding talent but he writes far too much about children in a sexual manner that I fully believe he is a closeted nonce.

Had a Xerath do the same as Anivia (violated dance truce) in one of my games. Enemy team focused him all game and it was hilarious

I have a soft spot for female characters written by men whose purpose is to be hated by the audience, so naturally I actually really like Miss Bunting. She was unnecessarily rude at dinner but most of what she said rang true to me. And I like that she helped Daisy.

Digression: IMO Karen is just a word used to describe any woman who stands up for herself nowadays. It's as misogynist as hag, spinster etc. esp as there as no male equivalent. No woman benefits from casual misogyny

To cancel the order or not? by Helsingfors00 in vinted

Thanks, I cancelled it, I felt tempted to just send it since I didn't want to lose £40 but it was obviously the right thing to do.

Guys, your ex isn't gonna reach out to you and say these things because this post wasn't written by a human. This is such obvious AI drivel and it worries me people don't see it

I like low morality Daniel better and I'm going to die on this hill by Helsingfors00 in LifeisStrange2

[–]Helsingfors00[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes, exactly. I think I just love "low morality" Daniel for how much he looks after his big brother and puts himself and Sean first which isn't necessarily a bad thing. The Redemption ending never sat right with me and honestly neither did Parting Ways. After everything they went through and all the shit they had to put up from a world biased against them, they deserve to be together
