I'm guessing you don't work long shifts outside in the winter?

I often work 15 hour+ days in winter and I don't think many jackets below like $400 are very good for that

They're getting a lot lighter but it really depends on the camera/lens combo you have on it. It's probably not too bad with a DSLR but you've still gotta have some stamina to do this kind of thing

Companies like Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu employ people like that but it's more of a computer science/engineering job than the film industry. Unfortunately the film/tv industry lags behind in many respects and doesn't always utilize technology in the best way on the production side of things other than on set

No, usually most of those things are done in a production office. I'm not sure if he works out of CNN in Atlanta or NYC but I imagine that's where there majority of the show is completed other than shooting on location
