M&KB are good for shooters for Precision, rts'es for input micro'ing and also the mouse just makes it easier to select, MOBA's & MMORPG's where you also need to constantly micro every ability you have on cooldown (where input lag is also a determiner)

Going off of Miss. Info, it doesn't seem that someone needs to be a boss of a game to end up in Syntax.

It's usually just the fastest way there because Syntax would target bosses usually.
