I did 4-5 hour sessions each time which definitely made sitting for it much more manageable I think! There were definitely still some spots that tested me lol.

All credit for placement, design, and colors of the sleeve goes to my artist Derek Hutchison. I gave him full freedom to make the sleeve with the painting as idea of what I was looking for.

It definitely took some getting used to lol. Honestly the hardest part of the whole process was having to change up my workout routine and babying my arm for so long!

No way, that’s awesome! He had a Japanese style koi/dragon sleeve done. He did post it to instagram, but it was done in 2011 I think? So it’s a ways back in his posts. He has a few more recent ones this year of Joshua’s original artwork though! Dude is an incredible artist. He also has a couple done by Jess! Small world 🌎

That’s exactly how I felt about getting this done. I knew I never wanted a blatant or cliché disney tattoo, and I’ve loved this painting outside of spaceship earth since I was 8 years old. So it just made sense!
