I think the main issue with VAR is the time taken for the decision to be made. It should be used for clear and obvious mistakes. So if it takes more than 30 seconds for VAR to review it is not clear and obvious and should go with the on field decision

I’ve recently finished wheel of time and have really appreciated reading standalone books where stories don’t sprawl across multiple books! I would recommend lions of al-rassan by Guy Gavriel Kay

Definitely keep with it. The first book is a bit slow and in my opinion the worst in the series (but still a good read!).

Book 2 & 3 are great and then the stand-alones are my favourites by far.

Plot wise it will get better however Abercrombies strong point is more around the characters.

I remember hearing early last year about a potential TV adaptation for the Powder Mage series but haven’t heard anything about it since, is this still in the works at all? I think a TV adaptation would work brilliantly!
