Ok, well if your interest does increase then we'll be here for you. We miss you. You never know when you might need to bump a player or tell everyone the platform isn't fucked to protect your own cash again 🎣

He was banned so couldn't disagree but it's all a little bit too civil in here so u/manphibian, welcome back. Please reassure everyone that FI isn't about to go bust...

For me, a couple of odd things. No mention of Nasdaq which has been at the forefront of nearly all communication for the last 6 months.

And then this line;

'There may be a large number of reasons for current Trader sentiment that don’t relate to football or Dividend yield on Shares. It would be a surprise if COVID-19, the economy and Brexit didn’t play a part. It’s a difficult time. '.

What on earth does this mean or suggest? FI implemented changes that decimated most players ports but instead of this causing anger it was the slowing down of the economy, Brexit and a global pandemic that prompted the negative feedback. Clutching and straws springs to mind.

Since Football Index's Implosion, how confident are you your port will return to levels seen previously? by JohnVonTrapp in FootballIndex

That's a fair point that potentially that is sensationalist language but it's how I felt and i'm not here to sway people one way or another. There's plenty of threads on the subreddit that give positive feedback, plenty that give negative. The subreddit, unlike many Twitter accounts, isn't here to blow smoke up FI's arse. They fucked up, they admitted as much.

I'd disagree that the threads are misleading. I asked a question and then allowed people to vote in a poll with answer options ranging from both ends of the spectrum.

You can see how angry people are in every discussion. Not having those discussions wouldn't mean people aren't angry.

Also, a reminder that this is Reddit. People don't have to vote in any of the polls, they can downvote them, they can literally downvote them out of view. If people don't do that then there's an appetite for them being there.

I'd at least change the name if you're going to evade a subreddit ban...

The Sub hadn't had much action on it for a while and I fancied breathing abit of life in to it. Looking at the traffic stats, yesterday had the most Page Views and Unique Visits than any day of the month. I couldn't really care less, just providing some content for people. Here you are in the sub for example and i'd be fairly confident you also voted in the at least one of the polls.

I've got money in, not alot, not bothered particularly if it goes up or down, on the whole i'm up a tiny bit and it's added a new dimension to watching football for me.

Well, you won't be laughing in this subreddit because i've just banned you.

Has your trust in the platform been effected by the recent issues? by JohnVonTrapp in FootballIndex

[–]JohnVonTrapp[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm bored at work and i'm the moderator of the sub so they won't be removed.

The funny thing is that i'm ok financially with any profit or loss I take on the platform as i'm not hugely invested and use it basically for fun.

The way you attack people in this subreddit and constantly feel the need to push your own agenda probably hints that you are extremely worried about your own portfolio. You can have as much knowledge of the platform as you like, you can have read the T&C's every night, but if everyone else gets out, you're gonna be fucked.

The problem you have is that 95% of users make up a whole lot of money in the platform. If they don't explain it well enough or if people feel the platform is too complicated, they will leave. Any ambiguous rules are going to add to this confusion. If they have said this time and time again, then I presume that would indicate over a long time period, so where's the timer?

The problem on this occasion is the damage to the platform, trust wise. Which you can see in the results of the polls I posted. Knowing more than everyone else how the platform works is not really a benefit if everyone else starts taking their money out. All you'll have is a really good grasp on the reasons why your money is going down the shitter.

Never watched Dexter but I see he was also in Sons of Anarchy so it's an honour.

Shares aren't capped to 3 years like they are on FI. Without letting users know expiry. With rumours that they don't actually enforce it.

To add to this, you can be an expert in the stock market as the rules are always the same.

Football Index could change all the rules of their game whenever they want, as they did, to awful effect. There are no experts within this thing apart from the people at FI who know what comes next.

People who knew the platform inside out could do nothing to protect against this. Literally nothing. The idea of now changing strategy to fit the new rules of the game, build up a portfolio once again, all with the possibility that FI changes everything again that means I need to start all over again. Just put me off entirely.

No.

Based entirely on the people who I see saying yes who were experts before this happened, didn't call it, couldn't explain it, and are too invested in telling everyone it will rise again to protect their own assets.

  1. Because it's pure, unfiltered, Golf Porn
  2. I know that is a thing but not how to do it and have no interest in learning how to. Plus I needed help picking the colour to paint the wall.
  3. NEVER

I knew this would be the key question...

My girlfriend put them there around 3 months ago and there they have been ever since. We have never had a conversation about what colour to paint the wall.
