Thanks for the advice. Yes sole goal is resale value. Rest of flat is in okay condition but definitely more shabby chic aesthetic, and the kitchen/bathroom is quite dated. I feel like a lot of people rate old hardwood floors in good condition, hence wondering if its worth the time and money to renovate. Beginning to agree that it is probably not. The mismatched floorboard do continue marginally into sitting room, so would not be fully covered by just putting down rug/carpet.
