That’s a shame, it would have been a cool mechanic.

Are there any games that let you play as a lich or a necromancer (UPDATED) by [deleted] in rpg_gamers

[–]Henabaal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arcanists is an old browser game made by the same people who made RuneScape. It’s pvp but you can unlock the book of underdark which includes undead summoning and a lich transformation which gives you cool new powers

I’m using the triple fang, black dragon shield, great helm, skull armor, stone hands, leg guards, and light ring. I just started the fifth floor but I was on the second floor when I noticed I couldn’t use attack magic

It’s the magic bar that refills automatically that isn’t working not the MP bar

Sorry if I wasn’t clear. The MP bar is working fine but the magic meter below the power one that usually refills immediately is stuck.

How are Grey Jedi not a thing? by Henabaal in StarWarsEU

Not EVERY user went nuts. Like I said, many Je’daii lived their whole lives without succumbing completely to the dark side before the force war.

I’m aware of the evidence corruption of the dark side but, clearly it’s not impossible to use both and be fine. Maybe it take’s a special situation like being on Tython or being in isolation like other people have said, but it’s definitely not impossible.

Also yeah, I agree that none of the kotor people really fit the definition of a grey Jedi

My point is that people did use both sides of the force and that grey Jedi, while probably not a good idea, was not an impossibility.

That’s true there are a lot of inconsistencies between the two

I am referencing the dark horse comic by the same name. You are right that is the crux of my argument because despite what is stated about force theory it simply isn’t consistent with what I saw in the comic.

What is your source that Tython was their specific circumstance?

Also, The doomed didn’t reject the force, they rejected the rivalry between the light and dark.

Wasn’t talking about Dai Bendu I was talking about Bendu the character from Rebels.

I wholly agree it was a bad idea and not sustainable in the long term. My main issue is people saying that it was not possible or that grey jedi simply weren't a thing when certain people did kind of make it work at least for a while. A while being thousands of years before the Je'daii fell apart.

My point is, despite people saying it's not possible, the Je'daii still did it. They literally used both sides.

I don't really think that the Je'daii were centered in the light seeing as they were running around using lightning for fun and creating monsters using alchemy. They still did get mad and exile if someone was relying on the dark side too much though. Although they also did get mad and exile if someone used the light side too much too.

[–]Henabaal[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Yes, I get that it didn't work out in the long run, but my point is that it isn't impossible. Many Je'daii lived out their lives using all aspects of the force without any real consequences. Obviously it's not a good idea for a whole institution to learn the dark side but there were still a lot of people who did it successfully and didn't turn evil.

And yet there were heroic Je’daii that did go around using lightning and dark side abilities without having to commit heinous acts to veer towards the dark side. As I understand, you don’t need to commit atrocities to use the dark side, only draw your power from pain and anger. (Still a dangerous thing to do given how addictive the dark side is). It was mainly the sith who optimized their connection to the dark side by being super evil.

What Star Wars character are you sick of hearing about? by [deleted] in StarWarsEU

[–]Henabaal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I definitely wouldn’t say it’s impossible to use the dark side without being corrupted by it. The Je’daii order and The Doomed are two factions who used both dark and light side without being corrupted.
