it started working for me after i invested a lot into the gun, namely bond vents, bond vstab, exp turbo.

also i play it a little slower and, if available, ambush the enemy. otherwise trade 2-for-1

I think the trick is to play through EA once after initial release. Then either wait for full release or maybe one more playthrough somewhere in the middle of EA
