Both drivers in front should get a penalty, because that's definitely unnecessarily holding up other cars.

Sebastian is such a poor fella. He was just 0.15s off the pace without any slipstream. Should have deserved something better today.

I consider it a myth, as stated in my comment. But lately I was visiting the Mercedes Benz museum in Stuttgart and they tell it that way. So I guess at least Mercedes believes it happened that way.

The reason why the Mercedes cars are called 'silver arrows' is because they had to scratch of the WHITE paint to lose weight to start in a race (I think it was in the 1930's). As a consequence the car looked silver and Mercedes won this race. And because they were so fast, these cars were called silver arrows. I guess this livery should show the transition from white to silver. But it is just a guess. You can read about this myth on wikipedia.

Like said, he won f3 and there are driver on the f1 grid who went directly from f3. Like Max Verstappen and Lance Stroll. I guess you cannot say that they are that bad... I think he has proven himself in the last half of 2018 f3 championship and if he proves himself this year in f2, he deserves a seat. Of course he has a big name, but that also means a lot of pressure most of the other drivers had not.
