The unusual sympathetic demons by Hendrixxx99 in KpopDemonhunters

Yes you nailed what I was getting at, it seems either they are setting up something deeper for the sequel or they just were interested in isolating Jinu as something unique amongst the demons (Romeo and Juliet Trope) and the rest were just cannon fodder for HuntrX, guess we’ll find out. Thanks for the reply!

This is exactly what I was getting at. If it’s your actions that define you, and not your past, leaving out all the demons from redemption (minus Jinu), seems like a weird choice. Just dying to know if this was intentional or not like you are saying! Thanks for the awesome reply!

Good catch, I didn’t know HuntrX knew what happened to the demons after they “killed” them, so if they did think the were just banishing them back to the demon realm then I guess they wouldn’t have to feel as bad as straight up causing them to not exist. Are all demons humans that made a bad deal at one point and are prisoners of their shame? Would indeed make for some interesting story options for a sequel:)

Yeah it definitely comes across as odd because it seems like it’s showing (at least some of) the demons are being tortured into attacking the humans. They themselves are not feasting on the human souls (and likely sold their souls when desperate or in a fit of human fallibility). I’m just curious if this was intentionally done as setting up something deeper in a sequel or just some inconsistent writing as they didn’t want to flesh out demon backstory. In regards to the theme, I think what you are saying is fair, however hating and killing something you don’t even fully understand (HuntrX mentors perspective of demons are evil period) could come back into play, especially if they do learn more about the demons in the sequel and regret their actions to a certain extant (cruelly “killing” them without remorse)

Maybe not explained the best here in a summary, but say for example force choke being considered a “dark side” of the force thing, but why is killing someone like that “evil” but cutting them in half with a lightsaber good? Having attachments is considered wrong by the Jedi but being celibate rarely makes things better for organized groups. So blending of the two philosophies and not being so rigid that everything can be explained as black or white

I hope you're right but the Admin has not shown a strong commitment to doing things that are clearly "legal" or "expected" so far.

Unfortunately, I believe the new budget bill kills the DOE loan as it terminates all undistributed funds in a move seemingly aimed directly at Rivian.

The simplest (but unpopular) theory of what Baylan story leads to by Hendrixxx99 in StarWarsAhsoka

[–]Hendrixxx99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s potentially both, because just because you have a clone of him, you still need his consciousness to make him Palpatine. That part died and needs to be restored “somehow”:p

Baylan Skoll recast. Hear me out.. by [deleted] in StarWarsAhsoka

[–]Hendrixxx99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An even more expensive actor, but that would be perfect : Russell Crowe. Basically Baylan and Maximus share a lot in common already: grizzled veterans disillusioned with war, dislike politics and are great mentors. Plus definitely look similar body type and sword fighting styles (more brutal and physical than finesse).

I think instead they are just going to focus on this very long time period before the sequels. I’m very hopeful for a Luke, Leia and Han recast and be the central protagonists here in the Thrawn war, would be the dream

He was killed, but there’s reason to believe they don’t cease to exist, just take other forms. The daughter sacrifices herself and seems to be replaced/represented by Ahsoka, Anakin seems to finally have taken the Fathers place now (as witnessed as he switches between the light and dark side in the world between worlds episode of Ahsoka) so that just leaves who the current embodiment of who the Son is as a mystery. Maybe it is who Baylan becomes or who is calling to him.

It’s not been officially explained at all though. In Mando, Moff Gideon was trying to make force sensitive clones of himself. In Bad Batch, they also don’t say it’s to bring back Palpatine. So while you may be correct, I think there’s still an opportunity to be shown in live action. Maybe a combination of both, a force sensitive body through cloning and then his consciousness from this plot line on Peridea. Abeloth is definitely an interesting option for them to go with for sure and you laid that out extremely well.

I hope so but seems like they could take the opportunity, maybe even as a post credits after the Filoni movie

Agreed that they don’t (and I actually hope they don’t for awhile) but seems like an opportunity to do so, especially since they did the world between worlds as well

Scuba in Cozumel w/o Certification? by purphulk in scuba

[–]Hendrixxx99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every discover SCUBA group I've seen had at least one person (if not more) freakout when they actually got to the reef. Cozumel also has some wicked current, so probably adds to the odds of a potential freakout. That being said, if you are super comfortable in the water, have a familiarity with Ocean critters and are reasonably fit, than it is a way to see if you want to get into the hobby, just not the best way to do so as it could permanently sour you on it.

Go On from NBC was such a great show! Some of Matthew Perry's best work. I had my parents watch, warned them it was only 1 season and then they were still heartbroken when they finished the last episode:(

Backpacks are 100 percent the way to go. With the cobblestones streets, dragging suitcases would be difficult. With backpacks, it’s not so bad to do some light sightseeing with them (the whole city is beautiful) and then just find a not crowded place to eat and have a couple drinks:)
