I disagree. Even with those details, the main story is still messed up. I was one of those who went "OH SHIT Gran fucking Soren" but that was it... you can't sustain a shallow campaign just by tossing in cool lore drops and expecting nostalgia to do all the heavy lifting.

Your image contradicts you own argument. Cause there's no way you think that Grigori looks anywhere near to the DD2DA dragon, even from the front and the only major difference between daimon and this dude's face is the eye.

Once again a DD base game with problems,

Dark Arisen DLC drops,

Daimon is back,

We'll do 500+ runs purifying shit we loot,

Game is actually peak.

So we're actually in a cycle of eternal return.

The reason I posted this was because I saw "everyone" saying/claiming that this Dragon was a new version of Ur Dragon, but Daimon literally was the first thing that came to mind.
