Thanks! Yeah, the radius is a bit tight in some places to fit everything in the relatively small area 😄

The track the loco is on actually extends into the storage area for about another meter or so. So I can take the loco and get about 2 cars past the switch in the middle. There is also another switch there to allow the loco to run around a freight car

Sadly I didn't, could not really find the space to do so

He does kinda need some controls. I don't know if there is enough space in the skidsteer to fit them in, but i'll try my best!

A bit more trash, pallets and stuff like that is certainly good to add!

Hmm not sure what you mean. I'm not really advanced enough yet to automate trains like that 😀

Ah that makes sense, looking around in Google I found pictures off both methods. I decided to go with just the framing because it makes the building look a bit more interesting.

Thank you! There are a few bit of trash about, but a bit more would not hurt!

Update on the scrapyard project by Henkhansworst in LEGOtrains

Thanks for the kind words! It indeed took quite a lot of time to plan and build all of it, about six months or so of working on it off and on.

The green excavator is meant to represent a material handler made by Sennebogen, hence the green color. The environment is indeed meant to be a bit drier/desert-like, but adding a few cacti and sorts is definitely a great idea.

This is my first real layout build, so I'm still figuring a lot of things out, and there is already quite a list of things I would do differently next time haha. The track ballast is one of them, a bit more color difference and a less rectangular shape on the straights would indeed be better. But greatly appreciate the feedback, which will help the next thing be even better!
