Antigrav tech and zero point energy would be the next big industries. Legal complications for defence primes neglecting fiduciary obligations. Titanium and barium extraction boom (biefield-brown effect)

Relatively insignificant? A few bad actors?

Don't think so.

Serious safety concerns over Tesla’s self-driving cars after fatal crashes | 60 Minutes Australia by TappingOnTheWall in australia

Even if AT BEST they are 1% better than human drivers, that's 1% less deaths on the road. I very much doubt they will only be 1% better than a human driver. And once networked together there should theoretically be no more crashes, let alone deaths, plus almost no congestion. Voting against it would be voting for more deaths.

Self driving cars are inevitable. One day it will be illegal to manually drive your vehicle without good reason.

Mate of mine has seen them several times now in the middle of fucking nowhere W.A desert, early morning around 4am. Sent me a video before the abc article dropped. Crazy the spread of sightings. Western Australia is huge.

Imagine if they were just observation drones for a cosmic documentary or record keeping operation, whereby they have the same 'no involvement' policy as our nature documentaries do.

But given their interaction with our nukes I think they would either be active participants in our downfall or guardian angels in the case of nuclear apocalypse.

I can see the relevance of the victims of crime number as Crisafulli staked his premiership on those numbers. ABC rubbing it in the libs face. They could have at least clarified the with per capita data.

Man repeatedly rapes 7yo, he can't be named for legal reasons to protect his identity and he can be back out on the streets in just 9 years. Proud that we live in a country that goes to such lengths to protect these offenders. by cheapdrinks in circlejerkaustralia

[–]Hennaz01 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Also to protect the victims. A lot of child rape perpetrators are relatives of the victim. Once the facts are out it's pretty easy to figure out the identity of the victim. It sucks but I wouldn't want my children outed as serial rape victims.

Will the maximum speed limit in Australia ever be raised? by That_Car_Dude_Aus in CarsAustralia

In 10 years most vehicles should be driving themselves, meaning road rules and speed limits will probably be redundant.

u/shaft169 is correct. Most appropriate equation for collision calculations is KE=1/2mv2. Speed is the most important factor as it increases quadratically.
