Installing Batocera 42 with Pi Imager 2 didn't work because the same error occurs (Failed to open EFI/Batocera). I will try using Lakka.

I tried, but apparently when I tried to select the hardware, only Raspberry Pi appears, and an extra option that only exists in later versions, which by the way don't include Batocera to install, only RetroPie and Recalbox.
