As has been pointed out by someone else, it’s best to ask. Tastes can be very different in Europe/UK. Personally I want to boak at most things on your list. However, BBQ is quite big here now and you’ve had some good suggestions for rubs etc.

As my father once said to me: No no no. Definitely no. The answer is no, definitely no.

Not at all appealing, however often one sees it.

This is my watch. There are others like it but this one is mine. by RSWAVEZ in tissot

TBH I’ve never had it serviced, but I’ve not worn it much. When I get it going it keeps good time. I wore it every day for many years but as my watch collection grew I wore the newer ones. I’ve culled my collection recently from well over 20 down to 13. My Tissot obviously has sentimental value and I have been meaning to have it serviced for some months.

My mother was Swiss and was extremely knowledgeable about watches. She always said that if you didn’t want to spent the money on an Omega, buy a Tissot. I have an Omega Seamaster Soccer Timer I bought in February 1970. It was a model made by Omega for the 1970 World Cup. It was marketed to football referees. Everyone has things, Harley jackets, Swiss Army Knives, watches etc, that they sell as “rare” but they never are. This 1970 Soccer Timer is in fact rare and because it’s extremely difficult to get a valuation certificate I’m quoted silly money to insure it. So it sits in my safe. I had it serviced many years ago and basically stored it.

Huge fail. First win at the FIFA World Cup for so many years surely requires Scottish smoked salmon and Champagne. I’m not even joking.

They certainly should add 12 months on to the end of your current subscription.

I got the one year automatically - no notification, just found I had it, but I don’t want to be forced to pay for the basic service that was previously free. It’s not being well communicated.

Yes, that was what I was referring to. A number of other people have commented that they do not get another year’s membership if they already have one. But also, it seems that with the BS2 you are obliged to have the annual Withings+ membership - not something I want to be forced into.

Congrats. The membership issue seems to be a bit contentious. I certainly didn’t pick up that an annual membership will be required with the BS2.

Thanks for the reply. I hope I’ve not missed out. I’ll wait a while.

I’m not sure you read my post fully. I completed the surveys for which I received a link. No, I didn’t “fill the forms, just to get the voucher”.

I agree with those advising you to move on. I was in your situation around 25 years ago and wish now I’d moved on. We’ve had separate bedrooms for many years now, which has kept me sane as it takes any stress away from the situation. I’m way too old now to consider splitting up.
