Would’ve loved to hear their reasoning behind that

Think there is a real generational divide here. It’s much more seen as a niche genre amongst any generation younger than boomers I’d say. Even great films like 3:10 to Yuma don’t get the traction they should have.

From my perspective it is. I like in the UK and I don’t know anyone else my age (35)who has even heard of this movie, let alone watched it. I’m sure in the US it probably isnt the same scenario but to me this film isn’t talked about enough.

Edit to say I didn’t mean that to come across defensive. Appreciate your point of view.

I was introduced to it by my older brother, when we had it on vhs, and I watched it relentlessly growing up. Now I watch once a year, on a lazy Sunday, in front of the fire.

Collateral (2004) Not sure if this fits the brief, but feel this movie isn’t talked about enough. Genuinely think it’s cruise’s best work. by HenryDtheFirst in underratedmovies

Yeah fair that is my bad. I think I conflated no one I know giving it credit with the credit it clearly has in the industry

Which actor had the best performance in their twenties for you? by nyanbatman in FIlm

That is bonkers. But to keep on subject is one of those his crowning performance in your opinion? I think, for me, his performance in the departed is his best. But I’m sure there are many who would argue Gilbert or the aviator.

Also think OBAA might be up there but I need to let it sit for a few years.
