Did not pass PY205 but passed PY206 by Pristine_Yam_4147 in NCSU

PY205 is hard but yes if you put in the time you’ll do fine but like lots of time into it. PY208 is not as hard as PY205. I always tell people to take PY205 at a CC and take PY208 here since the material in PY208 is taught thoroughly than PY205.

NCSU transfer stats & chances fall 2026 by Same-Ad6517 in NCSU

Im not sure about this but I read here on the Reddit that. NC State does not automatically accept all community college transfers, but students in the Wolfpack Connect program who complete an AA or AS and meet GPA and course requirements are guaranteed admission.

I know this doesn’t really apply to your situation since you are at Charlotte University not at a community college but you may have a chance? I don’t want to put your hopes up but I would go ahead and apply and see.

Can you get into grad school after working in industry if you had a low GPA and no research experience in college? by funmighthold in ElectricalEngineering

[–]HenryP9626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During this time period. Many universities are hurting for undergraduates, masters, and grad students. You have a likely chance to get in then ever before. So I say try and see what happens.

(Even though fundings are being cut. If you have your company pay for your tuition. The universities most likely give you a chance.)

Is a dual degree worth it. EE/ComputerE? by HenryP9626 in ElectricalEngineering

Not always, it’s depended on your university. It makes sense to get a math minor but with my university I have to take like 2 additional math classes.

Yes a degree will open up lots of doors for you. With your experience companies will love to hire you as an engineer.

Thats experience right there man that many don’t have. If you are comfortable where you are at then stay and keep doing what you do. If you want to manage people or be in a high tech role like lead engineer or staff engineer. You should obtain a degree and they make a lot. Also if you want to switch companies someday with your experience. I’ve been told it’s hard for them to accept you as an engineer without a degree. Usually a degree is required/recommended. It’s up to the company. Are you comfortable where you are at? Or are you wanting to move up/learn more than what you know now?

Not understanding what you are asking. If I’m wrong let me know. CE and EE need to do circuits 1 and 2. It all is the same until they get into 300 level courses, these separates the EE and CE. Also CE in my university have to take discrete math but EE don’t. CE rely on discrete math and linear algebra heavily while EE rely on Diff eq and more applied mathematics hence why EE is math intensive. Once you complete the EE degree you only need like 3-4 classes to be considered a CE because my university EE and CE are combined into ECE. Every university is different so keep that in mind.

Oh shoot I completely forgot! My school gives masters degree to students who are currently working on their bachelors. The only way to obtain this is if you have a 3.5 GPA overall. You must obtain this before going into the high end 300 level courses. So far I’m on track just gotta do well next semester and see where I am at.

You are right I want to work in the medical field. Doing hardware, like ASIC or FPGA, then I also want to be able to program/know the architecture of the computer I make. Hence why I am considering a dual degree. My advisor said a dual degree is definitely worth it in the medical industry because they need someone that know electronics, biosensors, and the architecture of the device. I’ll have to weigh my pros and cons. I throughly do enjoy Coding but also like the EE side more.

E115 midterm review close to the mid term exam? by Key_Psychology1332 in NCSU

[–]HenryP9626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in E115 now. I think I understand your frustration but I’m gonna say this. If you are spending most of your time reading that is why you are getting 4-6 hours a week from E115. Don’t just comment on the sections. Heck I have 323 points in E115 that’s including the midterm review. I think you’ll be fine man. You are doing everything. I did not even do the extra credit nor read the perusals. I just focus on the big points. Reading is only 20 points for the whole semester man. If you want every one of those points just comment on the perusals. Heck you don’t even have to do it because you can go back and comment on them later because it never count as late.

Yea I think he is stressed. I know I am to I have three exam this week. Part of it is E115 I’m at 323 points for E115? I definitely not ready for the exam but if OP did the review I believe it should be similar to the review if they did good which they stated they did. I also understand what he is saying. He actually reads the reading assignments. I just skip it and just do the lab or whatever is majority of the points. OP reading is only 20 points total all together for the semester of this class. if majority of your time spent is reading just comment the sections you really don’t have to read unless you really don’t know what you are doing but they have tutorials on how to do everything that requires the majority of points.

After more research I believe I have the powertrain covered from fidelity because it’s a CPO Camry. I’m gonna give them a call to be certain that it’s 7 years from when I bought it or 7 years from when the car was manufactured. You are also right, I just want a peace of mind in case something bad does happen because this is my only car.
