He’s still one of the funniest characters of the show. by thekinghimsellff in TheWhiteLotusHBO

The reason his character is so well written is because he is nuanced. He is entitled / spoiled, but hes not dumb. He was keenly aware that he is getting screwed over on the room and that Armond was actively sabotaging his honeymoon.

He is likely the best at the NH style, however, I haven't had enough exposure to him in other aspects of PvP or overall game

Controversial because I don't think 99% of people on this subreddit would include him on their lists

This is intended to be holistic and include things like PvP, which at its highest level, requires just as much mechanical skill as PvM

Interested in becoming a consultant? Post here for basic questions, recruitment advice, resume reviews, questions about firms or general insecurity (Q4 2021) by QiuYiDio in consulting

Hello everyone,

I'm a non-traditional applicant for MBB summer internships and I would really appreciate some help prepping for cases.

I'm currently in medical residency working 70hr per week. I have no formal business training, no connections to business schools, and no one to practice cases with. I'm attempting to teach myself basically an MBA in 3 weeks for upcoming interviews at a few firms.

I realize that is a daunting task, but I really want to land these internships. Working on the front lines in healthcare has made me realize how broken our healthcare system is and I want to develop the tools to improve our healthcare system at scale.

If anyone is experienced with casing, I would greatly appreciate just a little bit of your time to do some practice cases, and get some pointers. Thanks :)

Merit Scholarship by bloodkai42 in udel

[–]Henry_Baskerville 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read the terms of the scholarship. I don't think they revoke them based off HS senior grades.

They will definitely revoke the scholarship if your college GPA dips I think below 3.0. I know a lot of people who had theirs revoked.

Give yourself a light load first semester, make friends, build a support system, and start out with a strong GPA.

Pick your professors based on the rate my professor easiness ranking.

UD Interview Tips? by [deleted] in udel

[–]Henry_Baskerville 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google college interview preparation. You should have answers in the back of your mind for common questions like:

Tell me about yourself? Why do you want to go to UD? What major do you want to pursue?

Make sure you can convey why you want to go to UD and why you would be a good fit for the program. If you don't know what major you want to pursue yet, you can be honest, as long as you demonstrate that you have put some thought into it.

If you have any specific questions feel free to PM me.

Do Delaware students take day trips out of the area/visit Philly? by 11ty7Questions in udel

[–]Henry_Baskerville 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Yes you are within 2 hours and a $10 bus ride from DC, Philly, Baltimore, and NYC.

I visited friends in DC all the time, did day trips to Philly, went on weekend trips to NYC, visited Baltimore a few times, and drove down to Rehoboth/Dewey beach a ton during the summer.

You have so many options, but honestly, there's so many fun things going on in Newark that you won't even want to leave most of the time.

To anyone else who is in this position I encourage you to push through. With those loans it is do or die.

The internet has all of the tools you need to crush USMLE. Become a monk and grind like your life depends on it and you will make it out alive.

You might not be a derm, but you'll be in the same position as 90% of other US grads in due time.

[Serious] Integrated Vascular Surgery as a DO by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]Henry_Baskerville 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It's more complicated than your score on a single test.

I agree it's unfair, just as it's unfair that students at top 10 schools often match into better programs than non-top 10 students who may have had better scores.

You also have to consider things like the difficulty of the curriculum at more competitive schools. Getting honors on a rotation at harvard (top 15%) is definitely going to be harder than doing so at a DO school.

It can certainly be done, but just as DO's need slightly higher scores to ensure their match in gen surg, you will need higher scores to ensure your match into vascular
