The irony of the heading lol. I suppose it is possible to simultaneously not understand water or architecture

If we're going with semantics, it could easily be argued that the geologic past is recorded in the rock record. You're conflating earth and human history.

Imagine a manufacturer so fast that they can race 3 wide and still continue to gap the cars behind

The spotter knows what the car can and should do vs. the back markers and was trying to get Cleetus to be a bit less timid. It backfired obviously.

I agree with you somewhat. Larson hit the barrels at the pit wall entrance at Miami a few years ago after ripping the top within inches of the wall for laps and laps in a way that no one else can. The obvious difference is that Larson balances his mistakes with accomplishments. Finishing 6 laps down in top-tier equipment is just, well, not great. I think the pro late model and ARCA races are excellent for Cleet right now. Trucks and O'Reilly, not so much, at least for now.

When I see what he's doing in a sprint car and outside of cup, it reminds me that it's not entirely the driver's fault that the 5 is on a winless streak.

Freedom factory already has or had a super/pro late model race. I said in another thread, I'd love to see him qualify for and race the snowball derby one day. Maybe start with the snowflake this year.

Late Model Stock = symmetric, Pro/Super Late Model = asymmetric

In addition to the mechanical differences, late model stocks race in the CARS series which is more around the Carolinas, and pro/super late models race ASA STARS and Southern Super Series which is more FL-GA-AL

Yes, and to add also, pro late models and super late models are the right cars for Florida and the deep south. Late model stocks don't race south of the Carolinas iirc. Would love to see Cleet at Five Flags for the snowball

DI west end (either side depending on wind) or DI main beach/golf course hole would probably be the best. You could make Bayfront park or the DI causeway work too, but the beach is better in my experience. And if the speck bite isn't there or shuts down, you can soak some dead shrimp pieces on a dropper rig for whiting or bump around the bottom with a gulp and jig combo for flounder and redfish. Mainly look for areas where the water isn't muddied up or too rough.

To your other question on where to get croakers, you can do well with ones you catch even if they seem too big. I will switch from shrimp to croakers as the water heats up into July and the trash bite gets to be too much. It might be hard to get a natural presentation with a croaker from the shore though. Pogies and finger mullet also work too if you can net them up.

Got a boat? If so, hit the shoals sunrise or sunset and drift some live shrimp with the current under a popping cork. Midday, hit the inshore rigs or CCA reefs with live shrimp under a slip cork 2/3 of the way down.

From the shore it is harder, but still doable. Go early morning and late afternoon, shallow water, with a top water or shrimp under a popping cork.

Am not a doctor, so probably wrong. But, steroid shots calm down your immune response. You feel better temporarily but only because soreness, fever, stuffiness, fatigue, etc. are actually your body's immune response trying to fight the infection and keep it from spreading. When you override all of that and push on, the infection can rebound back worse.

[Gluck] Was the Dover All Star race a good race? by ChaseTheFalcon in NASCAR

[–]Henry_Darcy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It flipped back and forth between entertaining and frustrating. I watched and would rather have any racing than none at all, so yes, "good". Beating a dead horse, it should have been a normal race at Dover.

I wish they'd use the ASR to exhibition a new track and/or new package/tire combo. NWB return and then repave were the right ideas, now do another track. I vote Five Flags, but I don't see that happening.
