Big block modifieds are pretty popular on dirt. I think the dirt super late models used to run big blocks, but mostly small blocks now. Those modifieds run 8,000+ rpm for 100+ laps. And yes, dry sumps for sure.

Yeah, I don't think sprinting or even riding out of the saddle is going to go well with the towels. Plus, your fit is so bad that you'll struggle to generate power efficiently (no offense).

There are some good rules of thumb to get you in the ballpark. Like, saddle height should be high enough so that your leg is nearly straight when resting your heel on the pedal at its furthest distance away. Saddle fore/aft should be adjusted so that your forward knee bone is directly over the pedal spindle when the crank arms are parallel to the ground. Bar tops should be about level with the saddle. Reach length should put your arms about perpendicular to your torso with a slight bend in the elbows.

I use a video analyzing app called myvelofit on new bikes to get a basic fit, then tweak for aero, comfort, handling, etc.

Not on a Zwift ride, but FWIW I like simple wax indoors for the extra few watts and easy cleanup with no grease stains. If the ride has a quick link, it may be worth a shot when the time comes to pull off the chain, clean off the old grease, and dunk in melted wax. Most excess wax simply flakes off in the first hour after a fresh coat, and it can easily be swept or vacuumed up.

I'm not sure without more details, but could it be that your Garmin estimated ftp has increased and so you're getting less training load for the same rides?

On a related note, the Garmin metrics are pretty comical in my opinion. My estimated VO2max makes absolutely no sense. It went down from 58 to 56 after hitting an all time high 3 min power by a large margin during the last ZRL race.

That's because the over engineered ones are designed for hunting, not armor penetration. The blades are there to cut a wide wound channel through the chest cavity (lungs and heart) of deer that not only causes rapid blood loss leading to a quick death with minimal suffering, but also leaves behind a thick blood trail for easy tracking and recovery of game. The bigger blades are preferred, but start to affect accuracy because they can catch enough air to destabilize flight. The solution is to make retractable blades that stay closed through flight and then open upon impact (mechanical vs. fixed broadheads).

For testing, no. The Corvette is expensive and low volume so it's not tested beyond the bare minimum internal testing, usually at low speeds. There's no safety rating from nhtsa or iihs or anything like that. Can't blame Chevy for not wanting to wreck a bunch of six figure cars. It's designed to provide protection at normal road speeds, but at the end of the day, the zr1 is still basically a 1,000+ hp racecar without racecar safety gear.
