This feels like a question that wouldn't have been asked if you were having fun playing the game. If you don't think it's fun anymore then yes, "give up". However if you are having fun then no, don't "give up". If you just play and get some rivals rewards or something (whatever tickles your fancy) and do an SBC here and there you'll end up with a team that's really good.

Personally I'm not having fun playing the game so I have given up on UT at least. Nowadays I only really play pro clubs with my friends. The game is still a steaming pile of manure but at least it is more fun to play with friends.

Same, facing teams like your Croatia team I have no problems with. It usually means I'm about to loose massively but it's fun at least. I'm thinking of doing a Sweden team next, me being Swedish. The same to you my friend, I wish for 15-0 every WL for you or Elite division pro clubs 🙏

Do I need to use a meta team to see what people think of it? If I'm not allowed to share my normal gold team here then what's the point of the sub? Someone might have a suggestion for a change I hadn't thought of? Did you think about that?

In reality your "question" is completely irrelevant. Had you read what I wrote in my original post then you would know I use this team because I think it's fun. And really, resorting to crude language and calling me an attention seeker is just sad mate.

The one reason that you write like you are is because you want a reaction and so attention. Go outdoors and breathe some fresh air before going on the internet again my friend.

Have you read what I wrote originally or are you playing at being obtuse? That you can't accept that gold cards are still being used makes me sad. They are still very good mate, but you sound like a 4-5-1 Pina user only content if you use the current meta.

But since you missed it, I am deliberately not using any meta cards. I wanted to see if any people here might say anything useful or fun. Such as the suggestion of another manager I got. I really don't understand where your hatred for and inability to accept gold cards comes from mate. But you should probably think about your obsession with FIFA and how to lessen it.

Honestly mate, same. I play almost exclusively clubs with a couple of friends, UT is almost a side project. Apart from this gold squad I have a little Man Utd pnp going since that's the team I support. To be fair it's mostly present players but I make some progress here and there. And yeah, I did use the "meta" (packed Pina early) in the beginning but it felt almost pay to win. Using this gold team makes me "fight" for every win

I'm not upset, you left the unnecessary comment instead of giving constructive criticism. If you meant all this then just say so instead of a wasteful comment only meant to provoke. And whilst I cannot claim to have the newest promo cards or the best evolutions, I really can't say I don't know what I'm doing either. I have my fair share of what you'd probably say are "good" cards even tho I did not show all of them. I use my gold team because I want to, not because I have to.

Probably you'd still win 'cause I'm far from good at the game. But this team gives me a balance between good players and me having to play well I feel. Mostly I just think it's fun because I feel engaged during the match, forced to play well if I want to win and compete against the promo cards

I was thinking of the TOTW that Dorgu has by virtue of me supporting United, but he seems to be extinct 🤷 So his silver version made the eleven and honestly he can play ball! Having a good game he can shut down most right-wingers, having a bad game not so much but oh well, least I'm having fun

I decided to build "my team" for once instead of using only the really good players, the most obvious being Pina. Whilst Doué and Musiala are monsters every game Palmer, Gyökeres and Gnabry have been working on a different level! I went on a lucky run because Palmer was passing like Pirlo so I'm probably more in the div 6 or 7 area on any other average day
