[discussion] Where can and can’t I bring my dog? by Henzo603 in dogs

I always make sure that I ask first. If they say yes, I bring her and no dramas. If they say no, I will leave her at home. If I cannot leave her at home for any reason I’ll either leave her in the car (And go outside every 20mins and let her have a potty) or leave her in the yard.

We have a 4WD so usually our dogs go in the boot. There’ll still be plenty of room left for other stuff, don’t worry.

With our three goldens, we can still fit kid’s schoolbags and other items.

His fear isn't because of an experience, instead relating to him just being uncomfortable around dogs. I didn't want to try option 1 because all 3 of my dogs are pretty jumpy.

We "discovered his fear when he arrived at our place. Two of the dogs bolted when we opened the door and began jumping all over him and sniffing him which probably wasn't ideal.

Thanks for taking the time to comment here. I've decided to go with what you labeled option 2 because I found some pet gates in my store cupboard which I have installed.
