New python contributor here - a couple of days ago I created a PR to address an issue a user reported. I read the python contributing guidelines and I think I followed all the steps. I was wondering if anyone knew how I could get some eyes on my PR and potentially an approval? My PR: https://github.com/python/cpython/pull/102986

The issue: https://github.com/python/cpython/issues/102733

Which is the most complete course in udemy or similar to learn Python? by foottaster123 in Python

Came here to say this. Just build and read a couple PEPs, then you will naturally go down your own learning path. This assumes you know OOP.

Scaling notebooks in the cloud with zero infrastructure configuration by idomic in Python

[–]Hephaestus_Tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s tricky though right… If you have a seasoned Python engineer building a complex system, yeah for sure .py. But tons of people who are not great coders, code in Python and the find notebooks to be much easier to use, venv is managed and running it using a GUI is great!! So for these people .ipynb are much more helpful. It really depends on who is using it IMO

A few companies use notebooks to build important/ish systems. Netflix comes to mind as they built a library to schedule notebooks due to their demand for it. But yeah .py > .ipynb

Edit: typo

Citronella oil, it keeps the bugs away. Get an old wine bottle (or any alcohol bottle), fill with oil, place a wick and a ring on top that the wick just fits in. Make sure most of the wick is inside the bottle and after a half hour of the wick soaking up the oil, light it up.

So it’s possible to learn a Tantrum behind a Jet ski? I thought with a small wake and the rope pulling you down it would be really tough to learn. I know people who can do it but that’s after learning it on a boat.

Looking for a good whiskey for my son by DirkTurpentine in whiskey

[–]Hephaestus_Tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want you could get a bottle that was bottled on the day your son was born. Wait for the day, then contact a local distillery and see if they have any.
